I wish I can write a review with 5 negative stars. If you want your clothes to get washed run away from it. By using a normal cycle I got my clothes with dry patches in them and with lint spots. It's either using wasted amount of water (and yet poor wash) or don't use even half of what is needed. After 1.5 month of using it, I'm going to sell it (if anyone wants this) and buy another one. I bet those smart engineers that created that never did their own laundry in it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in absolute love with my new LG washer. The high capacity drum makes washing large items so much easier than before. The smart sensors are amazing and I'm actually a big fan of the countdown timer. I like how it gives me reminders to run a clean cycle for the tub to keep the performance high. Also, a small victory with this machine is the dispenser for powder detergents. It doesn't seem too common on most machines and I really appreciate this because I don't like dumping the powder directly on top of my clothes. All in all, I give this washer an A+. Absolutely no complaints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched from another brand after moving and leaving my beloved LG behind. This has made my heart so happy again. And game charger that the app will tell me when it's done!!! No more forgetting the loads and rewashing 18 times. It also reminds me when to run a cleaning cycle to keep it smell free. Has a ton of options for loads including AI sensing which honestly is just my new go to. And it has not spun unbalanced even once. 40 something loads so far and not a single hitch. I absolutely adore this machine and next time I move this baby is coming with me. Only thing I don't like or is weird I guess is that the soap dispeser fills up with water and dumps out the back when you open it to remove clothes. Not a deal break but surprised me the first few times I opened it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s an upgrade to our old lg washer original was purchased new in 2012 it lasted till June 2025 without needing any kind of maintenance. So when it died we looked for something affordable and the same machine we had came up but the newest edition with all the bells and whistles here’s to hopefully another 12 years of amazing products. FYI the original lg dryer bought back in 2012 is still going strong. Some of the features of the upgraded washer I love are the ai wash and the app notifications. It’s nice to have updates when not at home just to remind me that hey don’t forget there is clothes that needs to be dried. Great job lg love your products. The installation was easy and hassle free.

This is, without exaggeration, the worst washing machine I have ever owned—and that includes wringer washers, front-loaders, and a tiny stacking unit that barely qualified as an appliance. If you’re in the market for a washer with cavernous capacity—one that could comfortably launder a half-ton pickup and a camper—congratulations, you’ve found it. The 1 star is for the capacity. If, however, your goal is clean clothes, run. Run fast. Hug literally any other washer in the store for comfort. Thinking it might be user error, I tried six different detergents, plus various additives and whiteners (bleach is next, mostly out of spite). The machine burbles and bubbles enthusiastically but apparently draws the line at dissolving powdered oxy. Instead, it thoughtfully redistributes it onto your now tangled and twisted clothes in crusty little clumps at the end of the cycle. The “cleaning power” is truly awe-inspiring—our whites have gone from sparkling to a stylish shade of funeral grey, and our colors are now best described as “existentially tired.” Your laundry would emerge cleaner and brighter if you hauled it to a creek and beat it on the rocks. The manual claims this washer cleans by rubbing clothes together. That’s adorable. What it actually does is bounce them gently in a few bubbles like it’s afraid of offending them. I can achieve better results dipping clothes up and down in my kitchen sink. The preset cycles are etched in stone—technically adjustable, but never in a way that results in cleanliness. It’s also noisy. Constantly. Loud enough that you’ll wonder if it’s protesting its own existence. After just six weeks, I am seriously considering gifting this machine to some unsuspecting soul and replacing it with… literally anything else. Do. Not. Buy. This. Washer. Unless, of course, you’re tired of taking your truck to the car wash. And, yes, I have followed every instruction to the letter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to wait to write this review until I had a real chance to try out several cycle options the LG Mega Capacity Washer (WT8200CL) offers. By now, I had the chance to wash my toddler’s clothes on the Baby cycle, my husband’s mechanic uniforms on the Heavy Duty, my office dresses on the Delicates and even let my teenage daughter experiment with the AI setting. None of them have disappointed me, every load has come out cleaner! I’ve also realized I use less detergent since it has a softener, liquid detergent and powder detergent tray that dispenses it more efficiently. The spin cycle wrings clothes out so that drying time is noticeably shorter. What I love most is the EasyUnload design. At 5’1”, reaching the bottom of a top-load washer has always been a challenge but this is a game changer. No more stretching or struggling to reach the last sock! The ThinQ app is another of my favorite feature. I can I customize my cycle settings, monitor the wash progress and get alerts on my phone and Google Hubs. Overall, the LG Mega Capacity Washer has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s a luxury I didn’t know I couldn’t live without!

Now we can do it on our time, whenever we want! The spin cycle seems to work very well too. I feel like the loads come out of the washer more dry than our last washer. Thus, the dryer time is shorter too!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So far, I've really enjoyed this washer. I did a lot of research before purchasing and felt LG was going to meet my laundering needs. The cycles are efficient and washed my clothes thoroughly. I have used the AI Cycle and was pleasantly surprised. It adjusted the time, temp, and spin speed according to the fabric. The cycles also seem to run fairly quiet. I love the easy unload feature, which makes it very easy to reach inside the tub. I love the little things like the drain feature on the soap dispenser as well as the sturdiness of it. The App Control is wonderful! You can track how many cycles since you've washed your machine, the energy consumption, as well as remotely starting your machine. It's also nice to be able to track the progression of each cycle in real time. All in all, I am very happy with my washer!!

Do not buy at all costs. The latch that locks it in place after 4 months, the build quality is disturbingly bad, it feels very fragile to use and can break at any time. Also it cannot handle simple detergents like Tide, after a wash cycle, left over detergent will still be in the basket. IT requires me to use vinegar to thin out the detergent as the machine is too weak. I would 100% avoid this washing machine. Not worth the money and I don't think I will every buy from LG again.

Excellent product cleans fantastic from clothes to bulky bedding to towels this is my second LG washer the first one lasted 12 years. LG washers are made to last
