I liked that I didn't need any tools to assemble it. All parts seem to be good quality. I am not getting any dust coming out in my face. I was amazed at how finely the leaves were mulched, even wet leaves. We are turning part of our backyard into a woodland and didn't just want to have our leaves blowing into neighbors yard so this leaf mulch will be going over the wood chips and into our flower beds. We are very pleased with this product and will no longer need 50 leaf bags. I'm collecting our mulch in a large garbage bag that attaches very easily under the strong bands provided on the unit. It's really easy to use and good exercise picking up the leaves . I have found that there was always someone to speak with at the company both before and after I purchased the unit. I really like that they offer a two year warranty just in case I need it.

I like the way it shreds leaves. I am a gardener and trying to go as organic as possible. These shredded leaves will be great carbon to add to grass clippings for composting. The only complaint I have is that the on/off switch went bad on the 3rd use. I just direct connected the power to the motor and just unplug it to stop it.

Purchased to shred grass hay for a 30 yr old horse who's teeth are starting to fail him. Works great. The fine, medium, coarse setting allows to have more or less chopped up. It's quite powerful! I'm sure it shreds leaves just fine considering how it's working with hay.

My 20 y.o. Flowtron"s motor burned out so I researched and bought this. Quite easy to assemble and shreds quickly and smaller pieces than I was used to - think this .10 string is surprisingly better than Flowtron's .08. Also loved the Walmart price. It has been run ~ I hr. Would buy again but wish 1) there was provision (at least a hook) for storing string, googles, etc., 2) the outside dimension was a bit wider so the legs cleared my 30 gal trash can, 3) the depth is quite shallow vs. Flowtron so is easy for fingers to inadvertently hit the string, and 4) the motor extending below the shell so if using without legs, it will rest on the motor housing rather than plastic shell. It is a shame these issues exist, but I sure like everything else so far.

Bags fill fast with leaves this machine chops them up so you have less bags. If you have several trees bushes you can have up to 22 paper bags full. It saves money and time putting all bags to curb also a lot of people dont have room to store all those bags in garage not to get wet before pickup

Bought this item to shred bales of wheat straw abd cane for mulch and compost tumbler. Works great. I use a 12 gauge cord for power per instuctions. Would recommend wearing a face mask and of course eye protection as this thing gets with it. Very happy with it so far

I had bags and bags of leaves I wanted to shred for mulch in my garden and decided to try this item. I like that I can adjust it for finer or coarser shred. It got used virtually all day long. I did need the line changed several times, which is easy to do. However, it is really loud, so you should wear sound-muffling earmuffs. And don't forget the protective eye goggles.

My first use of this product. Performed exactly as expected. In short order, four (4) 50-gallon trash cans of leaves and pine needles became 2/3 can of finely shredded mulch. Sweet! It is easy to use, though very dusty. Got covered with airborne leaf dust! (Next time, I plan to do shredding on a slightly breezy day, and I will stand up-wind of the shredder! Should help.) Protective eyewear and mask are a must!

This worked well for a HUGE piles of leaves that would have filled probably 20 contractor bags....got it down to 5 yard wasted bags and ended up using it as mulch on my flower gardens. Buy extra line because it does wear down quickly especially if you haven't sorted through and pulled out sticks.

The fact that you can place a trash can under it to catch the shredded material is so much of an improvement over the bag used by a leaf-blower/vacuum system is, by itself, a great selling point. This allows you more time to actually clean up rather than having to stop and empty the bag every few minutes. AND, it does and excellent job of shredding the leaves and small branches into compost.
