You can actually set up the TV as a "basic TV" to disable the Google TV feature. You can find the "Set up basic TV" option during the initial setup. By selecting basic TV, you can watch TV programs via your indoor/outdoor antenna or cable set-top box and use the TV inputs for external devices. However, certain Google TV functions that require an internet connection, such as software updates, applications, Google Voice Search, Chromecast built-in™/AirPlay, internet browsing, and adding your Google™ account, will not be available.
