Purchased on mid February of 2021 and did so on the advice of my very dependable and knowledgeable brother-in-law. Unit is very heavy (100 lbs), but it is the quietest unit I've ever heard. Very tough and soundly made, and should last for years with basic maintenance. Unit does have wheels, which is an absolute necessity. Have always trusted Westinghouse, and will do so on this one as well.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it's as good as advertised.Fully assembled in the box. I added the oil that came with it and gasoline. I pulled the starter cord and it worked on the second pull.It's much quieter than my other standard generator.It easily powers my 26 foot travel trailer along with the air conditioner.

I researched generators a lot and ended up with this one. In the end, finding out the engine inside was actually made by westinghouse was one of the deciding factors - that impressed me. I also needed at least 3500W running power and the 3700W running power this one offers (on gas) more than met my requirement.. surprised at how competitor units like Predator and Honda only delver 3000-3200W running. The fact it came with all the bells and whistles (fuel gauge, running time counter, remaining time counter, remote start, wheels, etc) was all icing on the cake. I bought 2 of these because I needed 7000W total power and there was no more cost effective way to get that out of a quiet generator. The units took several attempts to start for the first time out of the box and I was worried about that but now that they are broken in (changed the oil at 20 hrs and at 50hrs) they start on the first or 2nd push of the start button. I've run them for upwards of 20 hours at a time and they performed flawlessly. They are quiet enough for my needs and much quieter than non-inverter generators that will deliver the power for less price per watt but of course, they all sound like jackhammer crews and this one is nice and low key, especially in economy mode. Overall, I am very satisfied with these generators after 1 month of intense usage.

TOOK ONLY 20 MINUTES TO ADD OIL, CONNECT BATTERY & HOOKUP PROPANE TANK. STARTED IMMEDIATELY. RAN FOR TWO HOURS WITH INTERMITTENT 1650w LOAD. INTEND TO ONLY USE PROPANE; NEVER GASOLINE. WITH 1650w LOAD & ECON MODE ON, SEEMED LOUDER THAN SPEC. TOP OF GAS REGULATOR WAS COMPLETELY CORRODED & ALL SCREWS WERE RUSTED, WHICH I HAVE REPORTED TO WESTINGHOUSE; CASE PENDING

I am disappointed to learn after purchase that according to the manual, this unit is very sensitive to wet weather conditions. That's when we will need it, when the weather is stormy enough to knock the power out! The oil fill is inconvenient/changing the oil will be a hassle. Both of these issues can be overcome but . . .

Bought this iGen5000DFc less than 2 weeks ago and I love it. bought it for my 22' travel trailer and just broke it in and tested t on my rv. has sufficient power to run what ever I need with the A/C going which is important for boondocking during the summer months. Control panel seems well thought out and the unit is quiet, my wife even noticed its quietness when she came out of the house. Also bought the iGen tent for it, did not have a manual with it and looked a little challenging to assemble. Printed out the manual from there website and was not to difficult once I got the hang of it.

This generator works to power everything in my 22' travel trailer without too much noise. Lots of great features, love that it has a battery that charges as you run it, as well as the option to have power for many different devices and needs. Heavier than expected, but wheels and handle make transport possible for this petite woman!

I am getting older and wanted a smaller and quieter source of back up power than my 20 year generator which is now difficult to start and makes enough noise to wake up our entire block. For a replacement I wanted the following items. Enough wattage (this is plenty as a backup), portability/mobility (wheels make this simple/low profile), dual fuel flexibility, ease of starting, and not as loud as my outdated generator. This unit met all the criteria and was the perfect fit for my household. Starting it is a breeze and the low noise factor is great.

The Gen4500DF was exactly what I was looking for. Duel fuel options was very important to me so I would have the ability to find fuel that would be available during any emergency. The control panel is conveniently located in the front. With the weight being around 100 lbs it is easily portable on its attached wheels and handles. Remote start was a pleasant surprise. I sincerely hope I will never have to use it but the actual operation is quite simple. I am very pleased with my purchase and I do have a reputation for being very critical with how I spend my money.

Right out of the box, I was impressed. Instructions are simple to follow and it comes with everything need, besides fuel. The telescopes handle make it easy to move around. It is quite, which is a definite plus. The remote fob is a nice touch too. I have not ran gas through it yet, as I do not want fuel sitting in it and go bad from sitting up too long. It does weight almost 100lbs and I was aware of this before I bought it. This generator is well designed and packed with great features. Zero buyers remorse.
