This is my first generator and I need an inverter generator that I can hook up to my FoxESS solar battery to provide power in the event of an outage with low solar radiation. My experience of generators is largely limited to my nextdoor neighbours' Generac Whole Home generator, which is enough to wake the entire neighbourhood when it fires up.  Not so with this inverter generator.  It was so quiet.  
So, far, I'm really pleased!

I dont have many hours on it, but I am really impressed. The igen 4500df was the only generator on the market that had both a remote control and dual fual. Running propane is nice because the exhaust doesn't smell as bad, it keeps the carb clean, and is an easy fual option as I already carry two tanks with my camper. I ran a 30 gal oil free air compressor and an electric grill at the same time showed and it showed I was only using  50% of its compasity.

Great features! Remote & Dual Fual

This generator is being used at our off-grid property to charge our large battery bank.  We did a lot of research before making this purchase, and concluded this generator had more features than other generators in its category.  The fact that it uses an auto choke with the remote start really sets it apart.  No more going out in the snow at night to turn the generator on and off.  I just wish the compartment door to change the oil was larger.

Great product thats easy to use.  Quiet   Keychain remote.  Great product.  Dual fuel.  Reliable.  The unit itself can be found cheaper on other sites, but  if your considering to buy an extended warranty, this is the best deal with a 4 year warranty available.

Best inverter on the market

I've been using this for over 40 hours now and everything seems to be running smooth.  I am using this for my 32 ft. travel trailer.  I can run my 15k BTU AC over night with out running out of fuel as long as I fuel up before going to bed.  Having a long running gen was the main reason I bought this gen, with a tank just over 3 gallons of fuel I can run this all night.  I have a 30 amp circuit on the trailer which this generator powers with out any issues. I do have to monitor the power so I don't over run the 30 amps using all my appliances, so far so good.  The first gen I received was bad, it leaked fuel and I had to send it back.  The second one has been good so I am giving it 5 stars based on that one.  I did contact support and had a pleasant experience.  The gen is very quiet, runs around 54 db from 20 feet away. Shipping was quick and I did receive the gen within a few days of ordering.

Good long running Gen

This is everything my research told me it would be. The iGen4500DF is quiet even under a full load, the remote is so nice, and the dual fuel gives me options. I love it. Westinghouse has thought of it all, and provided everything you need out right of the box. The only thing missing are proper break in instructions; probably because it requires multiple oil changes in those first hours of use. But when I did those oil changes, I knew I was doing the right thing to keep this great inverter running great for years to come. The iGen4500DF is truly the top level Inverter Generator on the market, and with the price, it is a modern marvel. Thank you Westinghouse!

Great Inverter, Great Features, Great Price!

Very satisfied so far. Great power to weight ratio, super quiet, easy to store and transport. Easy to operate and started right up (after adding the included oil and connecting to fully charged onboard battery). On our particular camper, it'll run two ACs with power to spare.

Perfect for our RV

The iGEN4500 units seem to have a ongoing problem with the choke as this one also has this same problem, after viewing some UTUBES I removed the right side cover and found that the choke was not plugged in, after I plugged it in everything worked OK. See pics

WOULD NOT START !!!

I waited a long time for this to become available. I wanted the remote start capability, duel fuel, and the reported fuel economy. Having it run for a longer time on a gallon of gas when you are way up in the mountains can be important. So far I love everything. It starts super easy, runs very quiet, and I could run my AC and the microwave at the same time in my RV. It would have received 5 stars except for a tag attached to the front panel saying that I should turn of the propane source when it is not running. If I need to go out and turn on the propane every time I want to use it, that makes the remote start useless! I did however connect a propane tank (after weighing it) and found that after a week without using it, I still had the same amount of fuel

One issue

Unit arrived with several broken components!  Contacted Westinghouse within hours of delivery to report the issues and got an answering service.  Left my information and received an email stating they are very busy and I will experience a prolonged delay in customer service response.  So not sure what to do, but take it back to Walmart for a refund.  
If you buy one make sure you take the engine panel off and inspect the unit for damage!

The well known choke issue...  is still an issue!
My box was delivered lightly beat up but it has fome protection. Found the battery beet up from inside the generator.  Acid cap broken off.  Battery should have been secured with the supplied strap.  Fired right up first time but was not vary smoth running.  I questioned whether the choke was on still or not? Could not tell. It ran for two hours running my travel trailer ac only. And stalled due to filed plug!  I guess that answers that.
So fixing the choke plug sounded like an easy fix except for the 2 bolts that where stripped from the inside plastic incert! And now I had to clean the plug and the completely blocked. Spark answers from running so rich.
After all that it smoked a little at first but ran well. Now I worry whether the brake in oil is full of gas?
