After months of reviewing just about every inverter generator on the market, I recently purchased the iGen4500DF and I couldn't be more pleased. I wanted a quiet inverter type to power my 3600 watt travel trailer when dry camping. Unit is powerful, quiet, efficient and small enough to fit perfectly under my tonneau conver on my Silverado. At roughly 100lbs, it's not exactly light weight, but I can manage to load and unload it on the bed of my pickup without assistance. This is heavier than the smaller inverters that you can one arm, but for a unit that delivers 4500 peak watts, the extra weight and size is worth it. Out of the box, generator started right up using all 3 starting methods: remote start, electric push button, and pull cord. Generator is able to run my 13,500 BTU A/C on my travel trailer and all appliances simultaneously, even in eco mode. One of the selling points for me was the electric start and remote start, which is rarely found on comparable models. Set up and initial run was a breeze after connecting the battery, adding the included oil, and adding fuel source. I haven't used gasoline to run it as I only plan to run generator from propane, but having the option to use both is a great feature. All in all, I'm super satisfied with this generator. It's quiet, reliable, and efficient. If you are on the fence about which model to purchase, the iGen4500DF is a winning choice.

I wanted to put the 4500df through one season before leaving my review. I am very happy with my purchase. More than enough power to run every single appliance in my travel trailer. I opted for the 4500 for this reason. I also opted for the dual fuel version so that I didn't have to pack gasoline on my camping trips. I'm already bringing propane so why would I bother with the risk of spilling gasoline?! The push button starter and remote start make operation so easy. The 30amp receptical and 15amp standard recepticals are exactly what I wanted as well. I only have 1 or two complaints… The provided oil bottle contains too much oil, despite the manual saying it is exactly the right amount to add. I over filled the oil then had to drain some up and clean up the resulting mess that I wasn't prepared for. I changed the oil at 25 hours and had similar difficulty. The drain plug is difficult to access, but doable, but the rubber plug and hole below the drain plug is not big enough to allow the old oil to drain out cleanly. It results in a mess simply by following the manual directions. I'll have to come up with a better system next time. I wouldn't say this was a user issue, but more of a design issue. The 4500df is quiet! We had several other campers comment to us throughout the summer on how quiet it was and asked what kind it was. The case is durable and sturdy. The telescoping suitcase style handle and wheels are awesome too. It's heavy, but not so heavy that a moderately strong person can't lift it in and out of a truck on his own. 2 people can handle it easily. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend to others.

I purchased my first iGen 4500DF on October 15th, 2021. Delivery was very fast. Setup was easy and the generator started right away. I am using propane. After running 20 to 25 minutes it just stopped. I could not get it restarted. At this time I contacted my dealer and they shipped me out a new iGen4500DF. The old unit was returned back to Westinghouse. The second unit has been working great. Starts every time and runs very well. Also, the first generator had the auto choke disconnected as many others had commented on in their reviews. I haven't checked the second unit yet as I only use propane.

I am glad I made this purchase it runs good with my toe behind RV and I like the remote start it's a great product and I love it,s made in the United States it will be a good backup for power outage at my home and love all the features that's made in it especially the color very nice product

Bought just at the time of the great Oregon ice storm of 2021. We hadn't got it hooked into the house before the ice hit and knocked out power for 3 days. We ran cords all over the place. It had no problem running a couple ceramic heaters, lights, microwave, and refrigerator. Its very quiet which I think the neighbors appreciate. Also mizerly on gas usage. We could run it from 5pm at night to 7:30 the next day on a single tank of gas. That was about 14 hours. Really appreciated the long runtime, not having to refuel it at night in the dark. My only complaint was the battery died from the cold after the ice storm was over. I had to buy a replacement battery for it which wasn't cheap.

I bought this iGen 4500DF a month ago. Unit is compact and heavy duty. User Manual was very well written with pictorial views of the Generator and Safety features are in abundance. Generator is pricey but it is worth all the features, i.e. electric-start, dual-fuel, LED Data Center, overload LED, etc.. I highly recommend this product !!

I just received this product and love it already! Westinghouse included all the necessary tools and accessories along with easy-to-read instructions and user guide, resulting in Fast assembly and initial start-up. Unit started up on first try and was as quiet, if not quieter, when running as advertised. My wife was present during assembly and operation and is very excited about the ease of operation and commented how more secure and safe she now feels since she already understands how to operate!! We are two Senior Citizens who are very impressed!!

This unit ( iGen5000DFc ) is a sweet little powerhouse for pretty much any 120 volt application. We live in a rural setting with frequent, but usually limited duration power outages, and can't justify the cost of a permanently installed backup generator, so having temporary power just by running a few cords is real peace of mind. Our typical setup includes 2 refrigerators, 1 freezer, coffee maker, furnace, sump pump, a couple of floor fans, WiFi and a/v equipment. Plus a few lamps and power strips. So far it works great. Easy set up, and quiet operation. No regrets.

I have purchased this generator, and have not been able to use it. It started then stalled then refused to start again. That's been over 2 weeks, I have reported it four times to the company and have received nothing but a stock email. We now have no power and no generator, and the emergency support line you are supposed to call when that happens does nothing. I feel taken advantage of and completely unsupported. Shame on you.

We decided it was time for a new generator as our 10-year-old wasn't starting during hurricane prepping. It was an easy order; it arrived in just a few days. I thoroughly read the manual and was able to fully assemble, prep for start, start it up, and had my freezer running in under 15 minutes. Super quiet, this is all so important as our last generator kept everyone on the street up at night it was so loud. Kudos on the quietness. Awesome control panel display. And the remote start works from inside the house if the generator is ready to start. This is an excellent purchase that I should have made years ago!
