So easy to do it better

Ordering was easy but every thing else was too complicated. I wondered about the delivery size and contacted the manufacturer since it wasn't on the web site. The two boxes were of reasonable size but together they weighed 275 pounds. They were to be delivered by a 53' semi. There would be no way the truck could turn around on our 1/2 mile rural driveway, so on my initiative I contacted the trucking company and made an alternate delivery point in a suburban neighborhood with my truck and trailer. When the truck arrived I was expected to help the driver transfer these boxes to my trailer. Basically we dropped them into the trailer. Really? It didn't even have a lift gate to help lower the boxes. Sams didn't think this out. It could have been so much easier. Then there were the directions. After about 4 hours we discovered that the Spanish directions were more detailed and were easier to follow even though we don't know Spanish It could be easier. My granddaughters, aged 3 and 1, were very patient and play on it everyday.

Well made...and marked but lots of work to make

Nice Cedar wood product, it has each piece marked and it is just a matter of time to get it all together. 4 guys all day...but it came out fine. We put it together in parts in our garage and hauled it out and assembled it out side. The flat floor was a plus and putting the parts in order along the garage wall worked out for us. Using cordless tools was a plus. Had a 2 year old Birthday Party 2 days later with 20 kids and it held up just fine.

very good purchase for good price

I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughters birthday. It is perfect for her and she loves the playhouse. I felt it could have been a little easier to put together....there were too many different size nuts and bolts, and it seemed as though some of them could have been the same, other than that I have no complaints, very good product for a very good price.

Grandson loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took two men and a boy to assemble over two days. Was missing a few brackets which we bought out of pocket.( Didn't want to wait for factory delivery). Sam's club gave us 3 extra months on membership for our inconvenience. Grandson can hardly eat his breakfast before he is out the door and on the slide. (2year old). Can only say that this was a good investment as there may be more small ones later on and it is good for 10 years.(The 9 year old grandson has played on it, as well)!

Excellent Play set for the money!

I had been researching a nice play set for the grandchildren at several other stores, when this playset showed up on sale at Sam's. I was thrilled and quickly ordered it. It only took 4 days to arrive and the contractor had no problem installing it in my yard. My grandchildren have only had one opportunity to use it due to the extremely cold weather, but the day they were able to play on it, it was sturdy and durable, and toddlers as well as 10 year olds had a great time.

Pretty happy with it

We ordered this on April 17th and received it on April 30th, our delivery window was May 1-11, so that was awesome! The set came in two boxes weighing around 400 lbs. Ours came in an 18 wheeler, so keep that in mind when ordering. This wasn't the set we had originally wanted but they were all selling out so we grabbed it while we could. It was a great price so we are pleased with the purchase. The first thing you have to do is go through each box and make sure all the parts are there, and sort them out. This will help you with the assembly, and if anything is missing they will send it to you quickly (ours was complete but my friend was missing a board, had it in less than a week). I was pretty motivated to get this together in one weekend. Including the sorting of material I was just under 20 hours for the whole thing, and my daughter was playing on it by 10 am Sunday 5/3. I would say I am moderately skilled but not great at following instructions. I would recommend downloading the Bilt App, as well as the manual. there were some areas I couldn't make out which hardware was used or the orientation of a board. By having the manual on my phone I could really zoom in to make it out. I didn't really use the App but I am just old fashioned I guess. The quality of the hardware impressed me, I only sheared 1 screw, and that was my fault. I did not have any cracked boards when unloading. Some of the boards are too thin and I am going to add reinforcements to, specifically the picnic table and floor in the fort. I also did not pre-drill any boards. I didn't have time for that and didn't have any issues. Most were already pre-drilled anyways. I had a few issues with the set that knocked it down a star. There were 2 sections where it required 8 boards, the manual showed everything flush, no spacing between the boards. I was left with a 2-3 inch gap and it required me spacing the boards out and it doesn't look right. That was really frustrating because these 2 sections shouldn't have taken more than an hour, and it ended up taking 2 since I had to redo it all. I did 10 pull ups on the swing beam (I weigh 190 lbs) and it was sturdier than I thought. Same for the monkey bars with are only 2x4s, no concerns at all about 3-5 kids playing on this. Overall, we are happy with the set. My 3.5 year old loves it, when my son is older I am sure he will too. It looks great in the yard too.

Waste of money

Within the 1st year the wood started to crack, splinter, and brake. Not to take about how many boards broke during installation due to the boards being soo thin. We added an extra 2x4 behind the handle on the ladder for support. We are already looking for a new swing set and plan on using this one for scraps!

Good product.

I have purchased and installed 3 of these for grandchildren at their homes. They range in age from newborn to 10. All seem to enjoy it. For the little ones, we replace a standard swing with a baby swing. Directions are a bit hard to follow and it takes a couple days to assemble. When you open the boxes, keep the packing sheets to help find the correct piece.

basically a nice play set and not hard to build

First of all I'll rate the lumber as being better than I had expected. I found one board that was cracked trough at the end. I didn't contact the manufacturer like I should have. I just made a replacement. Most parts were pre-drilled. I was not short so much a one screw in the whole set. That was outstanding. All of the hardware is high quality. The assembly probably took me 25 hours or so, by myself. And I thought that the instructions were well written. I found only a couple of confusing sections. My one complaint was the drawings. They were small and difficult to see. The instructions are black and white which made the small pictures even more difficult to figure out. The completed struck is plenty strong. I weigh 220 or so and it holds me, my 2 year old grandson and 70 pound dog. The bench and table are not as strong as I would like. There is too much play at the main support joints. There is too much sag in the canvas awning. I will have to go back and fix this issue since it holds water.
