I love the grill. My only complaint is that the hot rod went out the second day I received it and used it. Ive cooked on it twice and thats all. Had to call the company and they are replacing it but I hate to purchase something and then have to fix it two days later. I love the product but that needs to be addressed. Hope it works ok when I get the part.

Don't spend your money on the more expensive ones. This smoker works well. Easy to put together takes about a hour and a half. I've used it a lot and it still works great. Just be sure to follow directions every time when you start it or you will clog the auger

We came close to returning this grill/smoker because once we put it together, we realized it really can't be used as a grill at all. There is a large stainless steel sheet that lays between the heat source (smoker box) and the grill grates. My husband and I enjoy getting a good sear on our grilled meats and the temperature of this grill just doesn't cut it. Before returning it we wanted to try out its function as a smoker. Are we glad we did! We have brined and smoked our own ham and had such good luck that we have also smoked a couple of turkey breasts and pork chops. Everything has stayed very moist and the smoke ring is perfect, without an overly "smoked" flavor. We do recommend investing in a digital thermometer probe to keep track of your meats temperature, as "low and slow" works the best.

I had been eyeing this Pellet Smoker for sometime now and finally bought it. It was not difficult to put together.(having a second person to help is certainly recommended) I could ding a star for it missing a bracket, but won't because the smoker arrived a few days ahead of schedule and the customer service with the parent company was excellent. They had the missing part shipped out the same day I reported it. I followed the instructions to "cure" the grill all worked out fine. As reported in other reviews the hopper only holds about 10 pounds not a huge deal. Since using the grill now a few time you do have to keep an eye on the hopper it tends to have a funnel effect on the pellets and if you don't keep an eye on the level. (this could be the type of pellets I used and not a design defect) you will end up with the grill flaming out. I don't see any of these as reasons to knock off any stars on this. The quality of this product is good and the pellet smoker works as advertised. This is a great entry level grill for someone looking to get into the world of smoking and also works great as a back yard grill

After having an eye on this Pellet Smoker over the holiday season I was able to snag it on close out for $199... I cannot state just how happy I have been with this purchase. After four separate cooks I've had zero issues thus far. Once I figured out this item is made by Trail Embers I managed to download a copy of the manual and now know where to go to troubleshoot should the need arise.

Considering most pellet smokers will cost you anywhere fro $500 - $700. This unit works very well for the price. The pellets are the primary heat source and releases an even smoke throughout the cook. I've had great success so far and plan to run it through a gauntlet of styles and types of meat.

It seems to be very similar to other models IE target and such. Has good smoke pretty good temputure (not perfect). Heat distribution is pretty good. It has stopped a few times on me once because the pelletes didn't slide down the hopper the other time I have no idea, but my ribs got cold instead of finishing when I went to the store for 30-40 min. I did have some issues with shipment. But I supposedly have new parts on there way. The knob was broken and the temp prob was cut. I was able to slice it back together, but not sure if that has impacted the performance doe to extra resistance in the line. This definitely has me catching the smoking bug. I think this is a great starter smoker and maybe a great ending one too.

Although I haven't yet fired it up, I was very impressed with the steel thickness used. Everything fit well when putting it together and instructions were good. The one negative is that I need help to hold things (legs mainly). I could not hold and reach on the fasteners on inside by myself. The price was fantastic for the quality of the product. I am very excited to fire it up and hope it works as good as it looks.

When I first got it the box was a little banged up but it wasn't bad and the grill was super cheap. I ended up having a bad controller but it was promptly replaced after contacting their support. It's been a while now and it's still working great. Size is much better for the price. Plus you get the fold out tray. Some expensive models don't even have that. Great grill for the value.

I recently purchased this pellet grill after a year long search. The price of the grill caught my attention. I had handled a number of pellet grills in my search, most in the $500 to 800 range. I was extremely surprised when I received this grill in the mail, I kid you not, when I say this is a sturdy build with what feels like high grade materials. It feels much more substantial than the ones I had considered. More important than the build, was the fact that it holds temperature. I haven't had much time with it yet but I have been suprised by the build and ability to hold temps while being offered at such a reasonable price. Impressed.
