It says it cools a medium/large room, but it made it comfortable ish. My 5,000 BTU worked better then this did. It's highly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this brand or air conditioner if you are trying to cool a large area, or even a medium sized bed room.

this air conditioner is very quiet and does blow cold but it does not blow hard at all. There is very little output and I actually had to put a fan sitting in front of it to Tryon get the air to blow throughout the room for it to do any good! Would not purchase again :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE 12,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner replaces an older same sized unit on a second floor bonus room above the garage. The air conditioner is heavy and while installation is possible with one person, two will make the process much smoother. Installation was typical of the other window units that have been installed in my house. Everything needed to install the unit was included. This unit is large, so measure your opened window space to verify it will open to the full height needed. This includes a remote and it can be controlled via the app and voice controlled via Alexa (and others), though it is not necessary to use this feature to operate the unit. Smart feature set-up took slightly longer than anticipated, but it appears to work as expected. Since the room we installed this in is a bonus room we don't use everyday, I enjoy having the wifi feature because I can cool the room down about an hour before anyone plans on hanging out up there. As far as cooling, it effectively cools the 550 sf room with ease and the unit is relatively quiet. The cord is 6 feet long Please remember the cord must be plugged directly into an outlet for safety purposes. The unit is solid and I am very happy with its performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since I've been working from home I've been using my shed as a makeshift office to give some privacy for conference calls and meeting deadlines, but in the summer months it's been a little stuffy. The GE Profile window air conditioner was a welcome change to that. I was able to easily install it in the shed window within about 15 minutes, and I had it ready to start cooling. I only got to use it for a few days before the weather turned cold, but I enjoyed using Alexa to control the air flow, and it runs quiet enough to not interfere in my web calls. I use the remote to start it up prior to heading out to the shed so that it cools down a bit before I get out there, and then I don't have to let it run all the time. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone who needs some cooling of a room, garage, or shed with the features of a smart appliance.

The word quiet doesn't even begin to describe how quiet this ac is! It is truly amazing. This is for an office setting and at day's end I'm never sure if the ac is even on (I always turn them off at night before leaving) if it wasn't for the room being cool. Works great and well worth the cost!

Have been running this AC for 3wks now and am very happy and impressed. It's very powerful when it needs to blast the cold and is one of the most efficient units on the 2022 market. When I don't need full blast, the inverter technology let's it run slower to maintain the cool and be lite on the electric bill too. The app features are also great to schedule on/off times/temps for vacation or home routines and check kw/hr usage.

It is simple but strong! Here in Puerto Rico the temperatures are rising up to 115°F. I am declaring war with this beauty. A powerful windows AC inverter. Saving my family from a serious Heatstroke turning into an everyday hero with fresh an cold air.

It quit cooling after just 16 months of light use. The compressor is running. It sounds normal. All other functions are good. It just does not blow cold air. lt just blows! I do not recommend this product. It's expensive and unreliable. It should have lasted 8 - 10 years or more easily. It didn't even make it to 1-1/2. I am very angry about this!
