[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 25-yr old fridge finally began wheezing like Darth Vadar and "weeping" (I hope that was weeping . . .) from the freezer compartment. It had served us very well and I knew LG is a great brand, based on several other appliance choices in the last 10 yr. I really had to work hard (due to pandemic slow downs, online glitsches, remote and rural location) but I finally found in white the LG I wanted - research online, great rating. I really wanted a little bigger one, but this is a second fridge and there was not enough room for a larger one in the spot it was going. Lucky me, not only did I find one local at a great price, but it was delivered in less than a week. Took me less than an hour to disinfect it (did I mention "pandemic"?) and remove all the packing, tape, etc. and reload all the food from the old one. Plugged it in and LG began it's magic. Chilled down fast. and it runs SO quietly, I actually felt I had to open the doors twice that first day just to make sure it was on! Granted, I did not need nor want an ice maker (which is available) - no water hook up nearby; and I still wish I had room for a bit larger size. But I am thrilled with the LG and look forward to at least another 25-30 yr of trouble-free operation and well-chilled foods and drinks!

I bought this fridge because I wanted something that would run quietly. It worked just fine for 51 weeks and then started making noise. The technician said the fan needed replacing. So the first disappointment is that it didn't even last a year without a problem. That was at the beginning of February, nearly two months ago. The part had to be ordered, and that has taken quite awhile, which is the second disappointment. The return visit to do the actual repair has been scheduled for the first week of April. In the meantime, the fridge has deteriorated further. It now sounds like a Boeing 777 most of the day and night, and is making a whole host of new noises. There is nowhere to hide in my open plan home; the noise, and the vibration it causes, is so loud that there is no peace even in my basement. Based on the noise it's making, I'm worried that it won't last until the repair can be made. Overall, not a great experience.

However, this was corrected by another crew. One feature that is lacking is built-in thermometers for the freezer and refrigerator. And it is important to know these temperatures to be certain that food storage is OK. We installed wireless thermometers, but we can see the wires from these thermometers on the left side of the refrigerator-freezer (not a big deal). Also, we have to replace the thermometer batteries periodically. Otherwise, the LG is excellent in terms of space, layout, performance, and aesthetics.

More importantly, I shopped extensively for best value, and after owning this unit for several months, can confirm that it was the right choice. Amazing that LG can make, ship, store, market, deliver, etc., this machine at this price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally replaced the refrigerator that came with my house that was increasing humidity in home due to horribly leaky seals. After some use, I’m very happy with the amount of storage. I miss having a drawer for cheese and meat between the shelves and one has to be very careful not to stub one’s toe opening and closing the door because there’s very little clearance between door and floor.

I had several LG products and all of them ended their life for problems. I needed a new refrigerator and this one was available right away. I thought: it's a refrigerator, what can go wrong. Actually it's quiet, it uses little energy ... few flaws but not bad. After a little more than one year I found that one of the glass shelf had the plastic frame broke. After 3 weeks the second shelf had the same issue on the opposite side. 2 shelves on 2? It's not a coincidence: it's just how LG makes their products. After one microwave (expensive one), one TV, one ductless air conditioner and one refrigerator, finally I learnt my lesson. Goodbye LG: another customer lost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace another refrigerator which was too costly to repair! It’s a perfect size for the two of us. The only reason for the four stars is that I constantly need to clean off fingerprints since the front of the refrigerator isn’t actually stainless steel. Otherwise, we’re very pleased with the appliance from the roominess to the quiet operation.

Refrigerator part is great - no issues. The freezer fluctuates in temperature radically - from -5 to +20 degrees F in a matter of minutes. Food packaging is often wet and then freezes with frost on outside of product. Works fine for anywhere from a day or two to a few weeks. Who knows how often it happens; pure luck if it's happening when I just happen to open the freezer. Just moved ice cream to my big freezer AGAIN, as getting soft after repair taking place yesterday. Repair visits are up to 4 now. There are some things I really like about the appliance, but this is unacceptable. I just want the fridge replaced. Period.
