I look forward to many years of holidays and family events that the extra room of this Frig provides. One question was I know that the 20 inch does not have the Light and the 30 inch does. Would LG be open to making a light only fit where the ice maker would be? You already have the hub and all you would need is the light adapted to the connection. I would buy it.

It's energy efficient, it's reasonably quiet, and it was relatively cheap since I bought the previous year's model. But it's a fairly bare-bones model -- most notably no split or sliding shelves, no freezer light, no ice cube trays included -- and that means I'm having to work a bit harder to use the space well. I do feel comfortable recommending it as a good value, but I'm slightly regretting not having invested in reworking those cabinets so I could fit something larger and fancier.

However it the frig powered up and cooled down quickly. The shelves were easy to arrange and spaces served well. It is easy to clean and well lighted. We like the clean, smooth and simple design. We do wish that you would make a shallower depth frig as it is hard to get to thing in the back. Also, it would be good to have all the controls up front and center.

However, this was corrected by another crew. One feature that is lacking is built-in thermometers for the freezer and refrigerator. And it is important to know these temperatures to be certain that food storage is OK. We installed wireless thermometers, but we can see the wires from these thermometers on the left side of the refrigerator-freezer (not a big deal). Also, we have to replace the thermometer batteries periodically. Otherwise, the LG is excellent in terms of space, layout, performance, and aesthetics.

I bought this for my garage as an addition. Refrig and freezer do NOT get cold enough. NO light in freezer. No thermometer as to tell what temp it is. Had to go out and buy two just so I knew. Guess you get what you pay for. Is so so for a garage not in house.

The door is reversible on this model. We did not ask the delivery guys to reverse them but opted to do it ourselves. It took my husband and son in law about a half hour or so to reverse them. The instructions to reverse the doors could be better. But with some logical thinking and some muscle (since some of the screws were quite tight) they are reversible. There is a similar model but the door did not reverse so we waited and finally LG came out with this model. We have had it for about 2 weeks so cannot comment on longevity but we have a similar LG refrigerator in the 33" for 3 years now and love it. This new one is for in law suite. Both are quiet. Fingerprints do show but not a deal breaker for me. I use stainless steel wipes occasionally to keep it clean. This model does not have an ice maker (optional) which is great since I did not want one. The only thing I would have liked is a light in the freezer compartment which it does NOT have.

I bought a LG refrigerator for our home, and I must say this particular fridge is roomy and cooled right up within 30 minutes after I placed the food inside. Easy to maintain. (Wiping interior down/doors). Shelving is spacious for those bells and whistles. I also purchased the ice cube/freezer kit since I live in the desert in the middle of summer. Easy setup. Completely happy with this refrigerator. Thank you LG.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My opinion matters because, just prior to buying this fridge, i bought 3 U.S-made fridges in a row and had to return each one of them within the warrantee deadline. Then i paid a bit more and got this one. What a difference! Bright lights, perfectly cold, good space inside, and the strange thing is, you absolutely don't hear the motor, to the extent that i was first wondering how come the fridge was so cold while the motor was not working. it even looks so much better made than its predecessors, with glass shelves all over including on the doors, instead of metal grids. and I've had it for over 6 months now with absolutely no complaint or problem. the only reason my title was not "Excellent" period is that it doesn't have a cold-cut drawer. i recommend it without hesitation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Top freezer appliances are not my favorite, but this was the only option In a small space. This is a very simple refrigerator with few highlights. The freezer section is simply a box, so it gets pretty disorganized. The refrigerator section has the bare minimum two drawers at the bottom, a place to put butter, and that is about it. I prefer side-by-side or bottom bottom freezer units, but there was nothing available at the time we purchased this refrigerator because of the limited space in our kitchen.
