As a person with osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in my back this glass lid makes a big difference in the weight. I’m able to lift both the cocotte and the glass lid together even when full, and cooks the same as a regular cocotte with an iron lid, the glass lid seals perfectly and the meats end up moist and tender. I give it 10 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Hoping the 4-quart round cocotte with glass lid measures up to other Staub stovetop cookware I own, but I just ordered it. Ninety-eight percent of the reviews filed for *this item* don't concern *this item*, so I'm purchasing blind. Sigh. Recommendation is provisional because I haven't received it yet; it's just naïve hope. :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting a Staub Dutch Oven after I purchased a Wolf cooktop. My other pots, that I love, don’t perform on the high heat as I want them too. Mainly the lids aren’t secure enough to prevent too much evaporation. I finally bought the 4qt round. I love the weight, the look of it is perfect in my kitchen and it cooks like a dream with great control, heats evenly and reduced evaporation. I will purchase a larger one now that I know how easy and perfectly it cooks.

Recently I came across a very good deal for the glass lid version, so I decided to give it a try. I'm in love with it after first use! Not only it is very easy to use, I'm also able to see how my food cook with the glass lid. I made clay pot rice and I was able to get crispy rice easily at my first try. I'm in love cooking with cast iron cocotte and I can't wait to make more delicious meals with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The red hue is vibrant and rich. It pops and looks sharp on display. The glass lid makes for easy viewing without having to disturb the seal. The 4 quart is a nice addition for preparing smaller portions.

Great pot. Heats well and retains heat well. BUT I dont think its clearly noted in the description (at least not as of my review now, and not when I bought it) that the GLASS lid is only oven safe up to 440F. Description states 500... but that is only for the regular lid. I bought it because I thought the glass lid was safe to 500 in the oven. .. oh well, this is still a great pot. Just be cafreful with the lid!
