[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've raised 8 dogs on Dog Chow. I've had veterinarians tell me that my dogs are some of the healthiest, happiest dogs they see. I'll never switch because I don't have to worry about bad ingredients and recalls because of them. Love my pet food!!

I feed dog chow for years and then got hooked in to all the so called premium brands Found out that Diamond Pet Foods makes most of those brands and my dogs got very picky about their food. Also my dogs had itchy skin and poor coats Went back to dog chow. My dogs have beautiful coats and no itching . And they love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The taste must be good because we had to purchase a dog bowl with a raised center so it would slow him down. He started on puppy chow and has continued on with Dog Chow. I asked our Vet if we should be feeding him something else, but he said "no Dog Chow is absolutely fine" and I'm glad because it fits in our budget considering we have an 80 pound dog that eats a lot of food. If we watch for manufacturers coupons and other store rebates we can usually buy 2 or 3 of the large bags for a very reasonable price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was kid, my dad raised and hunted with Beagles. His dog food of choice was Purina Dog Chow. Now as an adult I remember my daddy's lessons well. Though my dog of choice is Great Pyrenees, for over 25 years, I myself, only feed Purina Dog Chow. Provides a good healthy coat along with energy.

When i was growing up we always fed our dogs Purina. About 18 years ago i switched to pedigree because one of my chows flat out would not eat Purina. All these years they've done great. A few months ago i decided to give Purina a try again because a couple of my dogs were having digestive problems & freqently threw up. In 2-3 weeks a couple of them, not the same two, started losing their hair and none of them looked healthy. I realize it has been hot but all of them lost significant weight. I have since returned to pedigree & will not stray again!!! It has not taken them long to plump back up!

I had to go with another brand that they would eat. If you didn't change to chicken I might not have tried your brand again.

I decided to try Purina Dog Chow for various reasons. One it was plant based. Science says amino acids and protein are just that, with no difference in their source. She stopped itching after eating this food. My two large dogs loved it also. I go through 66 pounds of kibble per month. I couldn't get out of my head "if they have been in business for 80 years how can their food be so bad"?
