My family has always used purina dog chow for as long as I can remember. When I got my own dog I decided that was what I was going to feed her. She likes it and have had no issues up until this last bag I bought. I have found larvae of some sort in it. I saw it in her bowl and freaked out. Then I seen it in the rest of her dog food. I am udderly disappointed and disgusted. I shouldn’t have to worry about what I feed my fur baby. I shouldn’t have to worry about larvae being in a bag of dog food. I looked through our other two dogs food (one is the same brand the other is not) all are stored in the same area. So this is something subject to the bag I purchased. When I looked up if anyone else has had this problem they said that they have! What a horrible and shameful thing to do!

We have been using Purina Dog Chow for decades. We have used Purina for all of our dogs, some of which are no longer with us. I trust the name Purina for our cat food also. As the years have passed us by, we have seen many brands that have been recalled for numerous reasons. None of these brands have been Purina. Our animals are our family and we choose to keep them healthy, Purina has proven to us that they do just that. Thank you for caring about our furry family members.

I have two Dachshunds adopted from the local Humane Society, while they were at the Humane Society, they were on Hills Science Diet, Shelby was on the puppy formula, he didn't seem to care for it too much, I switched him over to Puppy Chow and he loved it, when he became an adult, I switched him over to regular Dog Chow. A year later I adopted another Dachshund that was approximately 4 years old, he too was on Science Diet, since Shelby was on Dog Chow already, I put Maverick on the same thing, he loves it. Back when I started Shelby on Dog Chow, it was because Dog Chow has had a good long lasting reputation, and the vet agreed that Dog Chow was a good dog food for me to feed my dogs with. Both Shelby and Maverick are healthy, energetic and have good coats, there is no other dog food that I will feed my buddies, Dog Chow is the only food for them.

As soon as they hear the rattle of the bag opening, I have 16 paws dancing around and barking excitedly! I love it for the price and the fact that dogs have been eating it for years so it's a name I can trust. They just love the taste!

I have a total of 8 doggie babies. 6 Pugs, a Mastiff and a chi. Dog Chow is the only food that I feed. My pugs, a couple of which are rescues and came to me with red irritated bald spots, have severe food allergies but we have had no problems in the 9+ years I have fed.

I have used Purina Dog Chow since 1978 for my Labs. It has been a great product and my dogs love it. One Lab with seizures was put on hypo-allergenic treats to see if that was the cause but recommended that I keep him on his Purina Dog Chow. A tumor was determined to be the cause of the seizures. Some of my dogs have lived to almost 14 yrs old, which is old for a Lab. I will continue to feed my 2 current Labs this food. One dog is currently on Purina Puppy Chow and will transition in the next couple of weeks to Purina Dog Chow.

I have raised several puppies on Purina Puppy Chow and then on Dog Chow. My dogs love Purina so much that when my husband tried to feed them another brand, they picked up their dish, threw the other food out, turned the dish upside down, sat and looked at him as if to say, "Okay, now where is my Dog Chow?" They love Purina and so do I.

Not only does she love but her body has reacted very well. She was a little skinny when we got her, so she has put on some much needed weight and also tons of muscle! Her coat is shiny and she is overall much healthier. As a 75lb dog, she eats almost 50+ lbs of food per month and Dog Chow is a great price.

This is the only one that didn't have recalls when other dog foods were causing problems and dogs to die. My sister lost several dogs and a raccoon eating the other brands. I trust Purina! The only brand I buy for my furry family members. They get table leftovers and Purina. They stay healthy, fit and happy. My dogs love Purina. They get excited when they see me bring a bag home. I have a Boxer and German Shepard.
