We used to buy specialty allergy-proof dog food at a chic dog food store in town. But the cost (for 2 large dogs) was getting crazy. Our vet said the lamb and rice food could be just as good. We love the fact that Sam's offers large quantity at a great price, and our dogs haven't shown any problems after switching over a year ago.

Lamb is a "cleaner" meat than other meat sources. We used to feed our dogs "Organic" Kibble but it was expensive. Dogs are 90+% WOLF - so should not be fed solely kibble. Some decades ago, Ohio State Vet School did a study of Wolfes in the wild and found their stomach contents to be not only meat but also "vegetable matter". Wolves eat the stomach contents of their prey first, before devouring meat and bones. Kibble is baked at high heat, and although supplements are added, it is not what dogs ate for eons. We add "human food" - mostly organic, including salad & fresh fruit, into their twice daily meals, and have had many long-lived, healthy dogs for over 50 years.

Purine One is a good product that we have used for many years, but lately, for several months it was not in any of Sam’s stores and it was not always available on line. Other stores had it but much smaller size. It showed up again at its previously available in store price and I bought it but even though I have a ‘Plus’ card I got charged about $6.65 for delivery. About 10 days later it was back in my store but the price had gone up about $5.00!

Opened the bag immediately after arriving home from the Club and found kibble bits stuck together in a huge clump. It was so solid I had to actively break pieces off in an attempt to feed my dogs. Ultimately decided not to feed the impacted/moisture? bonded pieces to my big two fur babies. Lost almost half of my 44lb bag.

Been feeding my dogs this dog food for a few years now. The dogs didn’t hesitate to dig in & gobble it up, liked it immediately. I have spoiled finicky dogs & won’t eat just anything. The cat will go to the dog bowl to munch on it too sometimes. Nice quality food that keeps their coats healthy & shiny.

We prefer lamb and rice over chicken and this is one of the most affordable brands for the lamb option. All three readily eat the purina one lamb and rice kibble. They love it! Balanced nutrition that is easy to feed.

I decided to give my dachshunds a change from their grain free dog food to try this dogfood. Unfortunately sams doesn't have a big selection of grain free dogfood so my dogs get tired of the same old kind. They loved this dogfood, it comes with little triangle kibble and what looks like meat clumps. I will go back to my grain free though due to teeth health. Great for a change!

I normally buy the Member Mark version of this food for my two dogs. One refused to eat kibble until I switched to Purina One SmartBlend. She loves it and is so excited to have her bowl filled. I think both my dogs are more energetic than before. The kibble looks softer and has meaty morsels that the other dry food didn't. I will continue to buy this brand.

I ordered two bags and they arrived on time however the very next day I had 2 cockroaches crawling out of a small hole right next to the crease in the bag. I took the bag out of the house immediately and dumped on my burn pile. The other bag had no holes in it so I used it.

Very polite. Frustrating when it comes to get it one time, then not the next. However, we count on this since we enter no store; so many people wear no masks. It should be required. The bacon never shows up. Mayonnaise is in short supply, or they know it's bad for us ... so, no mayonnaise. Are you low on pasta too?
