[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a coupon to try a bag of Purina ONE SmartBlend dry dog food for free through Smiley360. This was part of the Purina ONE 28-day challenge in which you notice your dog liking the taste, having more energy, better digestive health, healthier looking skin and coat, brighter eyes and better dental health over the course of 28 days. The packaging seemed pretty decent and informative. I didn't really notice too much in regards to what this product says should be noticeable mainly because these things already exist in our dachshunds. The number one thing that was noticeable was that they enjoyed the taste! One of our dachshunds is very picky and needs coaxing and watching to get him to eat pretty much any dry food. That was not the case with Purina ONE SmartBlend dry dog food (lamb & rice). He stuck his nose right in there and devoured it which he never does! That alone makes it a winner in my opinion. I have and will be recommending this product to friends and family and it will be a regular buy for our dogs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I adopted a 1 year old Boxer boy Dog who seemed to be allergic to chicken food. We went to this food and he has done well. It DOES have chicken fat in it though, but it is the fifth ingredient rather than the third. It was enough of a change for our boy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Vizsla tends to be a picky eater. He is 2 years old and around 40 lbs. As soon as I started introducing the Purina One dog food into his diet, he ate it up right away almost every single time! Today is the first day of back to the old food and he hasn't touched his breakfast. The only downside is that there is not as much protein as the dog food we normally feed him. He is a high energy dog, used for hunting, and my husband likes the higher protein food for him.

The only reason we haven't tried it before is it is alittle high in price but the coupon was a big help so than you for your coupon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have 2 rescue fur babies, a coon hound mix & a border collie mix. They definitely have different appetites & personalities so it was interesting to see how they would react to a new food being introduced. My coon hound, Sadie, is very high strung and very food motivated! She is not picky so she loved the Purina! Sasha, the border collie mix eats at her leisure & can be picky, but she loved it as well! I like that it helped them maintain a healthy weight & healthy coat as well. We have them the wet food to try as well from Purina One & they couldn't eat that fast enough! So far so good. I rescued my dog from a humane society after he came from an abusive home. He went from eating whatever he could find, like sticks, to this food. I so far haven’t noticed much of a difference but due to his past I think it’ll take awhile to fully get him healthy again! But he loves it! He always loves food time!

I really like that this purina one dog food is something that I can feel good about serving my dog since it is made with high quality natural ingredients but also something that my dog really loves. I liked that my dog seem to really enjoy this food and didn't upset his stomach. I noticed that he had more energy than normal and also had more healthy shiny coat

I took in a 2 year old European Great Dane that the owner couldn't keep. After 3 weeks my allergies were so bad I had to give him up. Luckily my brother took him but the same happened to him. The dog had really bad dander and his fur was really thin. We tried all kinds of thing to try to help with his fur and skin problems. A coworker said to try Purina one lamb and rice. Its amazing the difference in the dog and my brother. The dogs dander has decreased a lot and his fur is thick. My brother is no longer suffering with allergies. This is an amazing dog food!!!

We switched our border collie to the lamb and rice blend after he suffered an allergic reaction to his previous food (he was constantly itching and chewing on himself to the point where he had two very large patches of raw, infected skin that had to be shaved and treated with steroids and the cone of shame). Our vet recommended switching to a food based on a different protein than chicken, as she suspected a chicken allergy as the culprit to his itching. We did a lot of research and then decided that Purina ONE Lamb and Rice was the best choice to try as a food to prevent his allergy. I took a few days for the chicken food to get out of his system, but once he was completely switched to the lamb and rice, he slowly itched less and less every day. After the entire 28 day challenge was complete, Charlie has stopped itching almost completely! His eyes are brighter, his coat looks better, and his skin has obviously become healthier and more comfortable. I don't think I've ever seen him go so long without rubbing his face on the carpet or rolling around trying to get some relief. Charlie now plays more, itches less, and acts almost like a puppy again. I'm so happy that my 8-year-old baby is no longer miserable and uncomfortable and it is all thanks to this new food!
