My dog is a 2 year old Pit Bull mix, and she is very picky about her food. I switched to the Purina Smart Blend Lamb and Rice formula, but since the pellets were in separated forms (meat versus rice), she was able to pick through the pellets eating the meaty ones. I had to prompt her several times to eat everything in the bowl. I did not have this difficulty with my other dry dog food. She seemed to not care about the difference in taste, but only that she could unsupervised eat the part of the mixture that she chose, leaving the other pellets on the floor near the bowl. I had to place these back into the bowl. Perhaps Purina can consider making the pellets together with both meat and rice, so this is avoided in the future. I am sure other consumers run into this difficulty too.

We like to mix up the flavors for them when we get them to give them some variety. They all gobble them up! Thanks Purina for such great dog feeds

I have a Doggie Board, Bath and DayCare facility I changed dry dog food to Purina One SmartBlend because all the dogs love it and its easy on their digestive systems. We needed a smart cost food that good quality and easy on the dogs stomach AND something they would eat!! This is the favorite choice of the majority of dogs picked. We cannot afford to feed 50 dogs a day on the expensive natural grain free brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to feed Gravy Train to my senior Am Staff Terrier mix, along with my 3 year old Catahoula Leopard dog. I noticed that they didn't have the energy after eating the Gravy Train. So...I figured I would try the 28 day challenge with Purina One Smart Blend Lamb and Rice. Within 2 weeks, my 2 dogs had energy to go outside and play ball. The first time I poured their new food in their bowls, they ate it with no hesitation. Once in awhile, I'll add warm water to it, and the food disappears. I'm going to be buying more of Purina One Smart Blend Lamb and Rice for my dogs.

My 5 year old GSD has skin allergies, and I had tried a couple of the more expensive foods in different brands. The one I had last used was Natures Naturals for sensitive skin. My local store often was out of it when I needed to buy. So I began doing the research of other brands ingredients, price, etc. I have primarily fed my dogs Purina over the past 30 years, and decided to give this Lamb & Rice a try. My dog LOVES it! He can't wait to get his meals, and licks the bowl clean. On our second big bag, and no problems with his allergies. Plus it is not as expensive a the other brands. I think we can stick with this food.

Rocky my 9 yr old Cockerspaniel has been on Purina One Lamb and Rice or Chicken and Rice since he came off Puppy Chow. Rocky is a hardy eater, I call him my Hoover , he Hoover's it up. makes sure he gets every last crumb, then wipes his mouth when he's done. Its really funny At this time he is recooperating from a double eye removal surgery, but Thank God he still loves his Purina One, Thank you Naomi Smith

My daughter’s dogs like this dog food so we tried it. Total success! She loves the lamb and rice and jumps around me as I put it in her bowl. Thank you, Purina for a wonderful product.

My husky Mishka he loves this kibble. I had tried all sorts of kibble in the past, but he really loves purina one !! he has really steady bowel movements now, and he seems to have more energy, and with a husky it can get wild !!! I always fill up his metal kibble bowl, and he always wants seconds !!! <3 <3 <3 :)
