I have a 14 month and a 4 month old german shepherd. Right from the start I used Purina rice and lamb. They seem very happy with the choice. Their coats are beautiful. The vet said it was a good choice! I feel very confident I am feeding them what they need and what they deserve!

my dogs love this food and it is available in big bags. My collie runs to the bag and sticks his head in to grab a snack whenever he has a chance. His stool is regular and not weird colors like with the dog chow. None of my dogs complain about eating this food. His coat even seems fluffier. The value of this food cannot be beat.

We have always bought Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice for our baby girl. Purina One had a sell on Lamb and Rice so we bought it since Purina Pro Plan was unavailable at our store. Our dog started to have horrible diarrhea the next day when we weren't home. And when we got home from work, our home was covered in the classic puddles of diarrhea, so it looked and smelt great(that is sarcasm). We cooked chicken and rice, put some kaopectate in it, and she had that until her poop was fairly normal (a day or two). As normal, we fed her the Purina One lamb and rice as regular food, and a few hours later she had diarrhea again (this time in the kitchen where it was easy clean up). This went on for another 2 days. Today we switched her back over to Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice and I swear to you she seems like nothing happened. I am not asking for anything but to look into it please and thank you. We live in NC and maybe there are more like that. I just dont want someone else to see their dog suffer.

A few days after I started giving him the Purina one I noticed that he started jumping, playing and a lot more active. Our dog much happier and Heather Thanks for letting me know about Purina one. This is all we are going to feed him for now on.

My 2 dogs,a Siberan Husky and a Terrier mix, love the chicken & Rice blend. They will pick out all the chicken pieces first & then eat the rest. I have to watch them bc the Husky will steal the chicken pieces from the terrier's bowl after he eats his own food.

Poor Cosmo, my non-finicky active 4 year old Australian Shepherd, is confused today about the taste of his food. Over the last 5 hours I have watched him return to his food bowl and eat a few nibbles of his new Lamb & Rice food and then walk away. I guess it's an acquired taste. I will definitely return to buying his regular Large Breed Adult food he has always enjoyed.

Very helpful for someone that may not know how much to give their dog. Also seems to be no issue for my dogs very sensitive stomach.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 dogs - a 14 year old 6 lb poodle and a 3 year old 22 lb malti-poo. The poodle grazes when she's hungry so the food is always out. Mushee (the malti-poo) practically knocks her over when I start to pour it into the bowl. They each have their own - but it's usually the "bowl of choice" until one is finished. What a great product!

I recieved a free sample through Smiley360 if I agreed to give my honest opinion on this dog food and I'm so glad I took the challenge. The ingredients in the smart blend are great quality, I never expected it from a bigger name dog food. I'm also happy to say that the price wasn't bad and it was easy to locate at the grocery store. Although my dog enjoys all kinds of food and doesn't have issues tolerating anything, she really seems to enjoy this food. I think it was because the bites of food had different textures and I'm sure this made it more exciting to eat. I definitely recommend this dog food.

I had never given a lot of thought to my dogs food, I assumed a big name brand and claims written on the bag meant it was good for them, until the brand I was buying got pulled from the shelves in the pet stores. Then I did some research. I chose Purina One Smartblend Lamb & Rice, and after the first bag was gone, I couldn't believe the difference! My male dog, Dexter, had always had digestive problems and suffered bouts of diarrhea, and suddenly, they were gone! No "adjusting" to new food, they both just ate it up and had no issues. Their coats were so shiny and soft, and even though they are young and high energy, their was a noticeable "pep" in their step. I will never feed them anything else, and as they get older I will look to more Purina foods to keep them healthy! Thank you!
