What happened? Why the change?

Have been buying this dog food for the last couple of years at the recommendation of our vet. The last couple of bags have had the protein chunks replaced with granules the size of rice. Dogs are not amused. What they used to gobble up ... Now, i have to coax them to eat.

Poor staff

Sometimes it’s there sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it’s up on the shelve and all the employees ignore you like you’re at a flea market or pretend like they can’t hear you. The only time an employee approaches me is when they are trying to get me to upgrade my card which I don’t need for their own financial gain.

Best Dog Food Period!!

I have fed my English Setters this food for probably 25 years or more. My dogs have lived as old as 19 years old on this feed. No issues of skin problems and they love it. We feed the whole kennel this and only this. Dogs are healthy as can be. Tried them all. This is the best dog food period!!

Bag that made us no longer Purina customers

We have had many dogs over the last 20 years and have always used Purina dog food. We currently have four dogs, 2 large breed, one medium and one small. In the last few months, it seems the dogs no longer eat the Purina foods as readily as in the past. Their reaction to this bag of Purina One SmartBlend Adult Dog Food, Natural Lamb was the last straw. The dogs stopped eating the food altogether. In particular, our female German Shepherd would spit out the larger, fluffy pieces onto the floor, and leave the rest untouched. Two of the others ate around these large pieces, and left them in the bowl. We have now changed brands. More expensive, but at the least the dogs enjoy dinner time again. I left the rating at two stars since one of our four dogs (male Rhodesian Ridgeback mix) did eat the food, although without gusto.
