Design glitch. The ice will get stuck on the top hence the sensor will say it's full. We have to constantly scoop to unstuck the ice. 26lbs? Is that the weight of the machine because there's no way this could make 27lbs.

Makes ice. But the first cubes melt before the basket is full. All the ice constantly melts. Doesn't freeze hard enough. And there is no insulation in the case/shell of the machine. Returned after 4 days of using it.

It is intended that ice produced be periodically transferred to zipperlock bags for storage in a conventional freezer.<br /><br /><br />To make firmer/larger/drier ice, use colder water. Tip, let the first couple of batches of ice fall into the water reservoir to chill the water.
