Set it up and plugged it in with water per instructions and ran for 3 mins, Dan inop got hot, noticed fan defective. Very disappointed, does not operate or make ice even after following troubleshooting steps. Returning.

The price was right but....

The basket is small and it dips down far into the water reservoir. The lid is thin doesn't provide any insulation for the ice. I would not buy again.

Not the best

This car maker is very pretty loud throughout the entire process. The fan is loud and the ice drop is loud. The ice does need to be moved or taken out quickly when the sensor gets covered by any ice or the ice will begin to melt and stick together before the process automatically starts again. My previous Frigidaire was much quieter and cheaper.

It is intended that ice produced be periodically transferred to zipperlock bags for storage in a conventional freezer.<br />To make firmer/larger/drier ice, use colder water. I would have given the item a 5 star but the ice needs to be put in the freezer to harden otherwise it melts fast. I bought this for my husband as he loves it. That's the only drawback of this wonderful product.

We have enjoyed this ice machine because it makes enough ice for the two of us while controlling the water the ice is make from. While it’s making ice, it makes a lot of noise. However, it doesn’t take up much space on the counter.

Horrible warranty,! Breaks down in 6 months!!

Looking to save you the time and headache of getting an icemaker do not go with Frigidaire. The warranty is not good. They make you pay to ship it back when it breaks down in six months. Their reviews are one star because it’s the least star that you can get, let me repeat. Do not purchase a Frigidaire icemaker.

Ice maker failed after less than a year, don't buy

So we purchased this back in August of 2024, and it has stopped working as of June 2025. Prior to that it was a great little ice maker. On top of that trying to get service from Frigidaire as it should technically still be under warranty had been basically impossible. Definitely do not buy this one without the extended warranty.
