Not long lasting

I have now purchased two of these, both ol them have failed (stopped making ice) within a few months. Will not be buying a third one. Time to find another brand.

Ice is great - for a short while. Machine is not cold enough to keep ice from melting, so it becomes one big blob. Might be good for parties or one-off events, but not for daily/ongoing use.

It is intended that ice produced be periodically transferred to zipperlock bags for storage in a conventional freezer.<br /><br /><br />To make firmer/larger/drier ice, use colder water. Tip, let the first couple of batches of ice fall into the water reservoir to chill the water.

I had one previously that worked well for over 2 years. This one does not push the ice out far enough and I am constantly having to move the ice do it will make more. What a pain!

Worked okay-ish for 3 months, but going back now.

While this makes ice quickly. it all bunches up right where it's deposited and quickly blocks the sensors, making it think it's full, when it's not. You have to keep babysitting it to redistribute the ice. I was willing to put up with that, begrudgingly, because I didn't want the bother of returning it. But 3 months in and it's started making a terrible noise when the compressor starts up. So, it's going back.

Not what we hoped for but kinda ok.

Don't expect actual, solid, ice cubes. It makes hollow, oblong, ice and the ice melts very quickly in the tray. Need to transfer ice to a freezer immediately to freeze the ice hard and prevent near-instant melting. Its slow. Takes a long time to fill a 2 gallon bag. It is cheap tho and it kinda works ok. We are considering returning it. Havent decided yet.
