She is used to eating her regular food and being fed multiple snacks on the side from my children. This has greatly affected her overall health and joints pain. But recently I ve switched her diet over to Beneful weight management and it has worked wonders. Her weight has decreased and mobility greatly improved.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As long as my dog is happy with his food, that is the important part. He's always excited for his meal time and tries to stick his head in the bag. It IS helping with weight (he gets 4 cups a day, 2 cups for breakfast and 2 cups for dinner) and I have noticed a difference. While he wasn't overweight to begin with, I did see some gain around his haunches and it's winter and terribly cold, so I can't walk him. This food is helping keep his weight at normal levels!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not her favorite dry food, but she will eat it alone and has healthy poops. We love that farm-raised chicken is the #1 ingredient; she got spoiled when we lived with chickens and got fresh eggs and meat from them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m giving this 14lb bag of Purina Healthy Weight four stars because it passes the ultimate "happy dog" test; my pup is genuinely excited for every meal, and seeing him so content and satisfied makes the management process a whole lot easier. However, it doesn't quite earn a perfect score because the caloric density is surprisingly high—honestly, it’s not that different from their standard food options that aren't specifically meant for weight maintenance. While it’s a fantastic choice for keeping a picky eater happy without them feeling deprived, you definitely have to stay vigilant with the measuring cup to ensure they are actually reaching their weight goals rather than just staying where they are.

This stuff is great. I have a choc lab that was overweight ( 95-100 lbs). I was buying from the vet a $90 bag of specialty diet food Purina OM ( overweight management). It worked no doubt, but it was just so expensive and went thru a bag rather quick. A friend mentioned benefit and I was hesitant to try, but it has been a game changer, not just for our lab but our other dog as well. She has maintained a good healthy weight and I do not feel like she is always hungry like she was in the purina OM. Both dogs have been on beneful now for about 5 years. Give it a try before spending a ton of money on diet specialty dog food.
