I have a Schnauzer and I have noticed that it makes him very happy to hear the bag of kibble open. he loves to eat his plate in the mornings and in the evenings. I have also noticed that his fur has softened a little more, from what I have observed it seems to me a very good product to take care of your puppy's diet

Vet said he was on his way of being doggie diabetic. Now since on his healthy weight food he is at the weight he should be at 10-12lbs. Thank you

Please read past "chicken". The first three ingredients should be animal based proteins. Every ingredient between "chicken" and "minerals" is a filler. Pet food ingredients are listed in order of weight BEFORE cooking. Chicken is 75% water before cooking. That means this kibble as VERY little quality meat based proteins. Whole grain corn is the third ingredient. The number one major reason dogs are itchy or have digestive problems is generally grains. If you cut out grains, you will likely have a healthier dog. My dog didn't do well on this food for all these reasons. Switched to something better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my vet recommended that my Yorkie mix loose some weight, she recommended Beneful Healthy Weight. My picky girl loves this food. Also, my old Fiest girl loves the Healthy Smile Beneful. Would recommend it to all dog owners.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my dog on anither of dog food that was for weight management and they discontinued making it so it was suggested to try the beneful healthy weight and I wasn't sure my dog would like it. Did the usual when introducing a new food and when my dog smelled the foods mixed he wasn't sure about it. Got him to eat it and did the usual reducing of the old for the new food and that went wonderfully. No issues with the food and my dog has even lost a few pounds since being on it fully.

We've had some major changes in our life lately that may have put it into a little funk but now we're back on a regular schedule! She doesn't seem to overeat it like she would other brands of dog food so it fills her up just right!

I fed them purina dog chow when I had a large dog. Now I have a medium size and small dogs. They lost weight immediately on Beneful weight control. My one dog is 16 yrs old and she eats every bit every meal. I feel very good about feeding them food that has CHICKEN as the first ingredient.

However, about every other bag I buy has so much dog food powder / finely crushed crumbs in it that I literally have to sift the entire bag of food using a colander before I can put it in the storage container. Otherwise it’s a powdery mess to use. This should be caught by quality assurance checks when it is packaged. I hope someone at Purina will see this and address the problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog Hippy can be picky, but she does seem to like this colorful blend of kibble. It has fun shapes that she also likes to chew on. I mix this with some carrot, yoghurt, or wet food and she eats it right up. The texture is crunchy and it smells good.

My girlfriend has a beagle that the Vet said was overweight and she uses this and loves it. She told me this would be good for my Hound Dog mix. I tried it the next time I needed dry food. He likes it and he is even dropping a few pounds at a time. He is happy, so I am happy.
