I like the addition of new fruits and veggies, but it looks like more dried brewers yeast and caramel color were added. Why does my dog need food coloring in her food? Can we have the good veggies and fruits without the added colors and brewers yeast??

I’m seeing empty bowls each day and she seems full after a meal. As a pet owner I love the price of this product, the quantity I’m receiving, and the ingredient list I see on the bag. I always look for a pure protein to be listed first and wasn’t disappointed with this brand to find chicken listed first. The portions for your pup were easy to find on the bag and follow. I would definitely suggest any large breed dog owners check out this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first added Iams dog food to my two Doberman's food, they investigated immediately. Each one took a single piece from the dish, walked away, and thoroughly sniffed the morsel. They looked at me and walked away, abandoning the pieces they grabbed. Sure enough, my spoiled fur babies ate all of the normal brand, and left about every morsel of Iams. Day 2, my dobes had a chance of heart and ate all of the Iams and left more of the normal brand in their bowls. It took them time to accept the change, but now they are both big fans! I am satisfied that they accepted a healthier, more nutritious brand of dog food. They are family, and deserve the same care in their diet as I give the rest of the family!

Our OES has been eating Iams large breed dog food most of her life! She is happy and healthy and full of energy. We recently added another fur friend to our family! She is a Bernedoodle, now she too is eating Iams for puppies! Excellent products! Looking forward to many more years with our fur friends! Thank you Iams.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started feeding my 90 pound Yellow Lab the sample we received free from the brand. it has been 10 days now and she loves it! Its giving her a lot more energy and making her coat really shiny, We followed the feeding guidelines about transitioning to Iams and haven't had any problems so far. I am a lot more comfortable feeding Iams now that I know meat is the first ingredient instead of corn or a by product. Iams is a trusted brand for our household and I love that they have a large breed formula!

This is the only food that our dog will eat. What else is there to say It has everything my dog needs for nutrition and it keeps him fed and satisfied. He seems to love it and want nothing else. All I want is for my dog to be happy and healthy. 10 out of 10

We recommend this formula to "training and behaviour" clients on a regular basis... it is very similar to therapeutic formulas that aid in behaviour maintenance and the added amino acid, L-Tryptophan is an added bonus as it's a required "ingredient" for the calming chemical "serotonin" in the brain, which helps in supporting a calming effect.

I have three dogs, a german shepard mix (pit bull and shar pei in him also), an american eskimo, and a pomerinan. I feed them all the large breed adult (not maturity) formula. My two biggest both have joint problems due to age, breed tendency and injury and my pom has knee problems due to breed tendency. They all are doing wonderful on this. I have noticed that my big guys want to play more and they are going on 15 years old. My pom also wants to play more becuase his knee doesn't hurt any more. Keep up the good work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched my 7 year old black lab from another Iams brand to Iams Large Breed and haven't noticed a difference... and that's a great thing. Roxie was doing great on the other variety so I was a little wary that she'd have some stomach upset during the transition. No belly troubles to be found. And, I think she seems to be satisfied longer. She doesn't come begging for dinner an hour before I plan to give it to her like before. She eats it happily morning and night. I've had to coac her to eat other brands - never with Iams. She's a happy girl!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This as the first time we have tried Iams Proactive Health in the Large chunk version..we have always used the mini chunks. I have a 60 pound boxer pit bull mix and we have always used Iams since we adopted him. Our dog loves the food and has maintained a beautiful shiny coat as well as super clean teeth. A plus also using this food is that is doesn't bother his stomach and we don't have a mess in the backyard (if you know what I mean). I highly recommend Iams...I have used it with my current dog and the others I have had in the past...great dog food and I recommend the treats as well.
