Federal Return and Colorado Returns were great and easy to use - as always. The North Carolina State Return was very poorly done. There was little to no explanation about how to make entries, (e.g., what is taxable v what is not taxable). And, there was at least one error in NC handling of social security income that required a manual override.

Spoke with Shareeta this evening, as I was having issues with transmitting my e-file. It seems that it it would not send the e-file. Shareeta was very helpful in ensuring all the information was right, going through the filing process with me step by step through the e-filing process till it was successful. She was a great help and a blessing!

Turbo Tax Deluxe was not nearly as user friendly as previous years. This will be the 10th consecutive year that we have used Turbo Tax and found this year to be the least easy to follow. I would hope that you make some changes prior to next year, otherwise we will look for a new tax filing program.

I've used Turbotax for about 10 years, rarely ever have a problem, and when I did, it was minor. Our tax guy started charging over $300 each year, and I put on the brakes. Turbotax gets us exactly what we need, and is extremely easy to use and understand

I had a fairly complicated tax year. We sold a house resulting in capital gains, sold numerous mutual funds for a house purchase, and backdoored some Roth IRAs. Everything was fairly simple with the exception of the IRA process. There is some confusion on recharacterizations and conversions regarding the backdoor process. The words are not interchangeable and once you input your info in incorrectly the program "holds on" to the data. It kept giving me a Roth overage, which carries a penalty. I found the only way to remove the data hold is to go back and delete all IRA info. I had to do this several times until I figured out which boxes to enter/check. The online help was good, but did not give quite enough detail. I hope I can remember the process next year. Haha. Overall, great product.

TurboTax still confuses me a little, but either it or I am getting much better. I chose to download the TurboTax app for Windows rather than work entirely online, because I still don't trust online only not to lose some of my work, as happened a previous year. Once I was working with the downloaded app, I proceeded pretty smoothly.

A very good experience with TurboTax again his year. I hink I finished my taxes in record time. The only issue i had was determining the amount of Carryover from 2024 into 2025, if any, as well as understaning how TurboTax calculated tax on long-term and short term capital gains.

Overall, I like Turbo Tax. It's easy to use, and I like how it walks me through every step. I had an issue with it looping when I tried to download the state form. I had to call customer service and spend quite a bit of time on the phone. The first representative could not help me and said I would need to remove Turbo Tax and reinstall, which would have deleted all the information I had spent hours entering. Fortunately, the 2nd representative I talked to was able to help me and I completed the state form. The other issue was with profit/loss from a business. It asked me questions I didn't really know the answer to, so more guidance on that would have helped, such as the correct code to use and whether it was a qualifying business. If the glitches can be worked out, that would be great!

I have used TurboTax for decades. It has always been easy to use because it asks very concise and clear questions. If I have had a question arise, I have always found my answer quickly using the provided online search/help feature. I have never had any issues arising from my use of TurboTax for both completing all of the required tax forms and e-filing my Federal and State forms. I have always been kept aware of where my forms are in the Federal and State approval processes. I rely on TurboTax to help me quickly and easily file my tax forms every year.

Every year for at least the last 5 years every time an update fails you can't get back into TurboTax. It says restarting TurboTax and nothing happens. You have to use Revo Uninstaller Pro to do a full remove and cleanup, then reinstall TurboTax. That way you bypass the interim update.
