Glitches Glitches Glitches! The software crashed after completing the Federal and just as I was downloading the State. Page buttons were hidden until I had to change the screen resolution on my Mac, making it impossible to read. We have used Turbo Tax since 1992 and it is the only software I would consider. However, this is the first year we received a 1099-K and it was difficult to figure out how to document the online net profit and expenses. The 1099 listed gross income which included sales tax, shipping fees, etc. I had to somehow deduct the cost of the original cost of the item as well as subtracting all the expenses from the gross the 1099 listed. After a plethora of research outside of Turbo Tax, I think I figured out how to list expense items correctly.

Product is good, but did not actually pull in all of my 2023 data from last year for comparison. Had working on my laptap and saved but file was lost / missing after a Microsoft 365 update. Product is still "kludgy" but may be my laptop. Have scanned but cannot find my original 2024 file started even though I saved but had the dollar amount which matched after quickly plowing back through everything.

So easy to use! Simple, step-by-step instructions with a simple menu. However, TurboTax did not alert me that my six digit security PIN was missing. Because of this, my return was initially rejected by the IRS. I went back and inserted my PIN, and re-submitted my return, which was then accepted by the IRS.

The new brokerage and bank importation section is disappointing. It keeps the old records from last year's tax return import as stray record. It took me a little bit to figure out what it was. At first, I thought the importation from banks and brokerage accounts failed.

Great program that you can walk through each section and complete them in order. It does require that you have all of the document throughout the year. Knowing this required information at the beginning of the year would make the actual tax preparation simple and easy

I have used TurboTax for years, but this year it is terrible. Everything is great until I try to file online. After getting help from Keith in Texas, I was able to send my federal tax. However when we tried to send my Maryland return , I ran into a brick wall. When I tried to pay the $25 fee to Maryland, I was unable to do so. I could not sign in. Keith said I needed to go tier 2 help desk. I had already spend hours with Keith and I was disgusted. Keith did what could and I appreciate is help.

You never said anything about me owing a penalty/interest or what it was for. I am paying my taxes prior to April 15. However, I found it relatively easy to use and you asked probably enough questions for my normal person situation/income. The Alaska Permanent Fund entry was troublesome as it looked like you made me enter it on the 1099 MISC and again (with a check box) on a following form. So that needs to be cleared up.

This is no longer a user friendly program. My return was rejected but never explained why and I could not trouble shoot it. The headings you recommended I find were not there. I have gone through my whole return and checked every number to look for mistakes. I made a correction to the only mistake I found and if it is still rejected I will never use your product again.

Frustrated that I could not download a copy to more than one computer from download this year. My family buys at least two copies every year. I am a single mom and it has been nice to be able to just put a copy of the software on my laptop. I really appreciated that you allowed that. Now that it is only available by download I am not able to get a copy for my laptop. I saw that I can order the DVD for $10, but why can't I just download another copy? Very frustrating. I have been visiting my cousin about 4 times to do my taxes. And it still cost me gas money. :(
