Turbo tax does not download stock information easily. The forms are no longer easy to follow. I ultimately entered the stock info manually. Also the payment information form is so large it is not easy to press the enter key to get to enter the credit card information.

Intuitive interface, but tending to have redundant and confusing questions after initial highlighted question, unlike in past years where it seemed that a single question with asked and without having to place context additional questions. Overall still the best tax prep product I have used and still the best bang for one's dollar.

2025 Turbo Tax was very buggy. Normally Turbo tax is the most bug-free and beautifully executed software so this is disappointing. * I installed it and it failed to run so I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to get it to work. * It kept asking me to fill out fields for a child tax credit that did not come close to applying to me. * There were many other bugs. At one point I had to end the program with Task manager and restart it.

I have used Turbotax for many years. It is generally very user friendly and always accurate. This year, however, it seemed to take longer, even though our return was simpler. I kept having to go to irs.gov to find where to enter things. I also did not appreciate the frequent ads to update or hire expert advice.

I am over 65 years old and eligible to withdraw inherited OPM payments since 2024 after my husband passed away. However, TurboTax added additional 10% early withdraw penalty of $1,192.50 to my total tax, resulted in tax due $1,370 instead of $178 tax owe. I would appreciate your help and provide the problem solving instructions. I have all other amounts matched up with TurboTax's figures, except the total tax. Thank you, Judy

Overall, the 2025 TurboTax Deluxe was very good. There are a few questions I couldn't answer or were unclear. My Pension Plan Provider doesn't have a "FIN" ID number, so I entered their Federal ID # in its place. I used online searches to clarify info on RMD withdrawals to fill this section.

The section on selling a rental was not intuitive and confusing. It can be made simpler by asking a series of pointed interview questions and providing an example. Paying for each state submission was frustrating. There is no longer even a complimentary submission included in the purchase price. At some point AI will become an option for preparing taxes for all but the most complex returns, it would be appreciated if you rewarded customer loyalty by giving long time users complimentary State submissions. TurboTax is a very customer friendly software . It uploaded the information from my previous tax submission saving me time. I like that the Turbo Tax will show you the amounts entered in the previous year so you can quickly and easily make a comparison as you are inputting the current information. I don't have to worry about the accuracy of the amounts reported because TurboTax accurately calculates the numbers. For an elderly person like me, this makes my tax year easy to get through each year.

I like using the product. It makes doing taxes easy, and I learn about tax law while doing them. I've used TTax for many years. I wish the interface were friendlier: I have to move the pointer constantly between clicking buttons and changing pages ("Continue"). That's a lot of unnecessary mousing about. It can be hard to find or return to certain spots, and moving between Forms and EasyStep can also be slow and awkward.

Used it for years and it becomes more bloated every year. Features I like were not available like year-over-year comparison. $40 just to "let" TT subtract $15 for the remainder of state e-filing charge is criminal and takes advantage of people who don't ask questions. I am breaking up with Turbo Tax finally after all these years.
