Entering interest and dividends myself was a bit confusing. Liked it better when you simply provided a list from previous year and clicked on the payer and entered the new numbers. Seemed to go around in circles this year. Entered the payer on your first screen, then continued, then had to go back, and after another click saw a few boxes to select whether it was for interest, dividends, etc. Was incovenient and time consuming.

I just finished e-filing my state and federal returns. I saw a lot of negative comments online associated with the 2025 product, which made me a little leery of buying it for the 2025 tax year. I ended up buying it and found this software to be just as awesome as it's been over the last three decades I've used it. I'll definitely be using it again for 2026 taxes.

I would like to have a separate section or step for Qualified Charitable Distributions from the 1099-R. I missed it on my first pass through since it was grouped with other choices that seemed like obscure items. I had to look online to find where it was shown (hidden).

Been using Turbo Tax for years. Plug in the numbers, and the software does the calculations by asking relevant questions. Saves money and never had a problem. Although start up can be a little slow, it always checks for updates so can have the latest updates. Can stop and go back to later.

There were bugs in the education cost interview which cost me a lot of time. Also the stock donation valuation method labeling had a persistent bug. Finally, the Energy home improvement form had a bug which caused the submitted return to be rejected. This was promised to be fixed by March 6, 2026, but it was not. I had to manually correct the form. Very disappointed in TurboTax since I consider it the gold standard tax software.

normally i am satisfied with this program, but i e-filed my federal taxes with no problem, then i went back a week later to efile my state taxes and i couldn't, i was stuck on federal page saying i used my 5 free efiles already, i did, but it wouldnt let me do state(which i was ready to pay the fee) so there is no way to bypass federal efile to get to the state efile page, please fix this.

Always have a great experience with TurboTax. Fast accurate, consistent and understandable. Very compatible with my hardware and software. Easy to use especially since it has features familiar to me every year. The help features are there when needed.

In the past, Turbo Tax used to make it so easy to do our taxes, BUT they changed their software this year and made it harder! The problem area is with RMDs. Firstly, after entering ones 1099R data, instead of asking if box 2a is the amount that you are paying taxes on and always have, the software asked a very convoluted question about the about whether the amount being taxed is on the form, without any explanations given! Secondly, when selecting non-qualified after choosing qualified for a plan the software leaves residual data in the 1099 worksheet that can, and did for us, generate a Tax Penalty when none is required. This does not generate confidence in the accuracy of the tax calculations! These problems should be fixed now, before the end of the 2025 tax season!

The software does its job well, no technical concerns. My only complaint, every year when I use Turbo-tax, I'm prompted several times to file and buy my state return. I live in Tennessee, we don't have a state tax. Your software knows that, so why does it prompt every year to pay for a state return? It makes your company look underhanded.

You need to upgrade the help to give the option to index and link directly to IRS publications and use AI to help with this. The help on TurboTax is designed to force ignorant users into paying for assistance. People who know how to do tax research do not want to use your pathetic help system and have to exit TT to access real help documents.
