This years seems less flexible than previous years. Turbo Tax always says there is no cost to e-file Federal Tax, not totally true since there is a processing fee of $65 for your refund. This should be noted upfront and noted there may be additions changes with this e-filing

FORM 6262 PART 3 LINE 19 NEEDS TO BE UPDATED TO ALLOW FOR CORRECT GROSS PROFIT % LESS THAN 1. I NEEDED TO USE OVERIDE TO PUT IN 0,9664 AS MY PROFIT % BUT THE SOFTWARE DEFAULTS TO 1. THIS MADE THE CALCULATION ON LINE 24 INCORRECT. AND CAUSES MY CAPITAL GAINS TO BE MORE THAN IT SHOULD BE. I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO E-FILE WITH THE OVERIDE FOR CORRECT AMOUNT ON LINE 24. IT DID ALLOW FOR ME TO PUT THE OVERIDE CORRECT AMOUNT ON SCHEDULE D- HOPE IT IS STILL ACCEPTED BY IRS ALSO SOME FORMS THAT HAD DROP DOWN BOXES FOR THE STATES DID NOT HAVE THE STATE OF WASHINGTON. (WA) ON THEM.

I have been using Turbo Tax since the early 1990's to file the family taxes (ours and our sons'). Now that we are retired it was a little different blending work income, retirement income & investment capital gains. Turbo Tax walked me through everything.

I used TurboTax Desktop to file Married Filing Separately with a non-resident alien spouse who does not have an SSN or ITIN — a situation that is explicitly allowed by the IRS. TurboTax allowed me to complete the return, but then let me e-file knowing the IRS would reject it, only to fail at submission with an SSN mismatch error. At no point did TurboTax clearly warn that e-file is impossible in this scenario or that the software would force me into paper filing after the fact. This resulted in: Wasted time troubleshooting an error that isn’t fixable via e-file Confusing and contradictory guidance during the interview process A requirement to paper-file despite paying for software marketed as e-file capable TurboTax should detect this filing scenario early, clearly explain that paper filing will be required, and avoid guiding users down a guaranteed rejection path. This is a common situation for taxpayers with overseas spouses, and the software experience does not handle it well. The tax calculations themselves are fine, but the user experience and lack of upfront disclosure made this far more frustrating than necessary.

I have been using TurboTax for approximately 30 years. As I expected, while IRS requirements have become more complex, TurboTax's presentation, insertion of data, completion, review and filing were very straight-forward, easy to accomplish including checking hints and "Help" information, and easy to e-file. The only thing I did have an issue with was when I had a problem with finding my desktop version, attempted calling, only to be met with a 2 hr wait - my experience with TurboTax has not historically met with that level of customer disregard and I believe it can only detract from how good the program itself is.

Only AFTER I filed my federal return and printed a copy was I aware that Turbo Tax prepared substantial estimated quarterly payment vouchers for 2026! This should be immediately revealed and explicitly stated when final review of the return is completed, and before the return is filed.

Have used TurboTax for many many many years. Very disappointed this year after they got rid of the It'sDeductible feature. That was important to us and removing it caused much frustration, and much extra work that would not have been required in the past. May not need TT Deluxe in the future if this feature is not included.

Didn't ask for health insur premiums deducted from pension. Had to search for place to record State est tax advance payments on fed return. WHy on fed return and not just STate????? Software would not recognize 2024 return transferred and saved from ol PC to new.

This year, you guys had more bugs than ever before. I've been using Turbo Tax every year for the last 25 years and for the most part, I've been highly satisfied. This year, much less so. Particularly with bugs related to education expenses on college education (no step by step on room and board entry of expenses like prior years AND originally not having the entry on state for 529 accounts). Also, there was a bug that was present on the energy credits in federal with the address on the form. Had to delete the form and recreate as a work around. None of these issues were show stoppers, but its concerning.

Turbo Tax in 2025 was very disappointing. Failed to gather online data from my brokerage. Had to enter data by hand which was tedious. Also, it surprisingly failed to get accurate data from my previous return (which was done by Turbo Tax). Again, I had to enter all the data manually! In the past Turbo Tax has worked very well, but this year was an unnecessary waste of time! Next year I WILL be using a different service!
