Happy with Purchase
Wanted something for my grandchildren to grow with. We have a smaller swingset that my 3 year old grandson was getting too big for. Researched many swingsets, the sturdiness and $300 off helped to make my decision. So far, very happy with the purchase and it looks great in my yard.
What a great company!
I bought this for Christmas, the box was too targe to fit in my shed or garage, so I opted to wrap it in a tarp to protect it from the elements... long story short the was a hole in the tarp, saturating the box and al it’s contents, by the Tim we unwrapped it to discover the problem, all the parts were rusted and beyond use. I contacted the company asking for a replacement and offering to pay for the parts. They declined payment and rushed the needed hardware free of charge! This company really knows what customer service means!
We love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this play set for our grand babies about a month ago. They just love it. We’ve had story time inside the “Princess Castle” area and look forward to many years of memories. Maybe grandma will even go down the slide...
Good variety of play for different ages
We purchased this for our church and the kids are absolutely loving it. Not too big for a small playground and not too small for all ages to enjoy. We substituted the trapeze bar for a bucket baby swing (purchased through a local hardware store); and added foam padding to the horizontal support bars in the tower (preventing bumped heads at the slide and ladder entrance). My suggestion is to have patience when putting this together. Lay out all of the pieces in consecutive order and follow the directions exactly. It will take a couple of days.
Impressive instruction manual and packaging
The attention to detail as well as the packaging is impressive. The instruction manual doesn't skip anything or create confusion at any step of the way (Read every line and warning, don't skip any steps). It is very detailed and organized to keep you moving forward. This project took my Wife and myself a total of 7 hours to complete in one day. There were no blemishes or missing pieces upon delivery. The only advice I have is to invest in a 3/16 Allen ratchet to speed up the process. We are very impressed and happy with our investment as this piece will last for quite some time.
Well Built Playground!
My husband and I purchased this set for our too grandboys . We had it delivered to their home . Lots of communication from shipping company so we knew when it would be delivered . ( someone had to be there to receive it). It is quality built and will be enjoyed for many years to come. We would definitely buy again. Be patient read and reread instructions. Twice I thought they gave us wrong hardware but I was wrong. And had used some incorrectly. But it was easy to fix. Every nut and screw were included , nothing missing. It's not hard but best done without little ones in the mix . Lol. Boys are 2 and 4, somethings like monkey bars are just a wee bit beyond them. But it's a challenge and they love it.
Well worth the price and time!
My 3-yr-old LOVES this thing! He has no trouble with the ladder, which was my main concern. I researched playsets for months before deciding on this one. Wooden playsets are either way too expensive or made from cheap foreign materials. Playsets made with Pacific hardwood start at $2k and will still decay. This Lifetime playset is very well-made and the instructions were nice and detailed. It helped to read them completely before starting, just to see how and when each piece fit together. Be sure to use only one blister pack of parts at a time!
2 degree burns
I feel bad rating this with 1 star because I really give it a 4 overall. Except I want people to be away! My parents bought this set for the grandkids. My kids okay with it all the time. And have complained and cried when walking up or down the slide that it's hot! Well today when all the kids were playing my 2 year old nephew climbed up the slide and started screaming. We ran over to grab him off and to my horror the pads of his feet were raw. The slide burned his feet so bad! We ran him in and soaked them but decided he needed medical attention. He has 2nd degree burns on both feet! Had to be put under given morphine and had his feet scrapped and wrapped. He goes to the burn unit tomorrow! He can't walk for 4-6 weeks! Guys this is so so scary! And burns are nothing to mess around with. The saddest part is today's high was 77 degrees in Utah. The slide got that hot! Please please be cautious! Wet the slide wear pants. Don't let your babies get burned!!!
We are very sorry to hear about the incident with your nephew. At Lifetime, we work hard to make products that will help families make lasting positive memories. Hearing about negative experiences that detract from this purpose is the hardest part of our job. The risk of thermal burns is present with any surface exposed to the sun. There are things our customers can do to minimize this risk. We urge customers to consider the warnings in your owner’s manual. In addition, the Consumer Product Safety Commission Fact Sheet at the following link may prove to be educational about these risks: https://www.cpsc.gov/s3fs-public/3200.pdf. We wish your nephew a speedy recovery and hope that this information will be helpful to you and others so that future incidents can be avoided.
Great investment for all ages and seasons
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The assembly went very well. I put together by myself over a period of 3 days about 2 hours each day. The assembly was so well written that my kids 14 and 10 were capable of reading them and helping me put together items without my help. This was also done mostly in the dark, as it was winter, with headlamps. I did run into some confusion with the end pieces that cover the holes. The instructions had the part label written on them while the bag had a different label written on it. And in the instructions you're looking for a series of letters that don't exist on the part. You have to pay very close attention to the bag letters which was very confusing. That cost me about 30 minutes of digging to realize what happened. Other than that I appreciate the extra screws because things get lost in the grass. And everything went together very smoothly. I was able to do it with one adult and two kids. The quality of the materials is truly top notch, solid and heavy duty. We've had big kids and teens even swing on it without budging or feeling anxious about the structural integrity. With 8 kids (ages 1-14 have used this so far!) we've had a decent amount of experience with various playsets and backyard toys. The best thing about this set is just the great variety of ages, skills, and interest that it can work with. The little ones love the lower level "play house" while the older kids love the second story. The sensory seekers and parkour star hopefuls love the swings, monkey bars and especially the trapeze bar has been a big hit. The grey and green color scheme is calming compared to the visually jarring primary color scheme used by a lot of companies, and I appreciate that. It is definitely necessary to make sure that you have an adequate flat area with enough clearance (especially if you have fence line landscaping) for the slide and swings. For this reason, It's a great feature that the panels and rock wall/slide/ladder can be changed between sides. Overall, this play is a wonderful investment for a lifetime of imagination and play for kids of nearly all ages. I could not recommend it more to families who are interested in top quality, heavy duty, play equipment.
Incredible!
I noticed this Adventure Tower in the backyard of a neighbor, we are new Grandparents and I was keeping my eyes open to replace the Fort we had for our children. I immediately knew this was just what we were looking for! With numerous options for multiple children to play at the same time, this is the one we purchased. We are VERY happy with the quality of construction, the sturdy workmanship and we are looking forward to many years of watching our Grandchildren enjoy it! We also installed it ourselves and were pleased with the instructions and ALL the parts were there! When our 2 year old Grandson saw it completed for the the first time his eyes popped and he said, "Oh my!" That says it all!
