Mr

Bought this for my grandson.. It is a very sturdy set and can handle a lot of kids all over it.. I'd say the only issue we could come up with is the wavy slide. It's a fast slide. When the smaller kids hit the bump, it would launch them in the air sometimes coming down past or on the end of the slide.. weee

Awesome Playset!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this abyear now and our kids love it. There's lots of different ways to play and they have a blast. I elected to build it myself, this is a two man job. I did it by myself and really could have used some help. When I got stuck I called support and they were great. Would be nice if it came with 3 anchors, one for the tower and each A frame leg. As with lifetime, what a great playset!

Rust within 2 weeks

We are extremely disappointed that our playlet is already rusting. Water seeps in between the areas where metal is attached to metal and is impossible to dry out. This is after we covered all metal pieces with rust prevention spray during assembly. We chose this playset because it was supposed to be less maintenance than wood but that was a huge mistake. Of course the Lifetime website does not allow you to add photos or else I could show you the numerous spots and joints this thing is already rusting. I can only hope someone from Lifetime will reach out ASAP and try to make this right.

Who needs the park when you have this?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are loving their new Lifetime Adventure Tower Deluxe Playset! It has all their favorite features from our local park, and it's now in our backyard! Rockwall, swings, slide, "secret base" thats two stories! They even have a little street on thr top floor to play cars on. Assembly was a little intimidating, but me and my husband did it over a two day span, with basic tools and no experience. They have a youtube video where you can watch someone build it step by step which helped a ton. My kids are very happy with it and it has enough different features to keep them occupied.

Fantastic Playset and Great Quality

After a few weeks of debating this season on whether to go with the standard wood playset, or to lay down a bit more money and go for this one, we decided on this one. We're glad we did, as this piece is solid and obviously high-quality. The low-maintenance aspect of the metal and plastic is great too, as whenever it gets dusty or dirty or some big bird poops on the slide, all it takes is a quick hose-down and it's clean. The assembly was fairly straightforward, but time-consuming. It's still not as bad as the instruction manual made it seem though - it stated it would take 3 people 13 hours to assemble, but it took me 14 hours alone total with a little help here and there from my wife. It also took another 2 hours to properly level the playset and the ground around it (you may or may not have to do this depending on your lawn), and another half hour or so to anchor it with the included kit. You should also factor in the time to make this a safe place to play; because it's so huge a kid could take quite a tumble if they slip off the monkey bars or fall from the deck. Follow the advice in the manual and set up a safety area around it. On our part we bought a wood/pvc mix playground border kit that was almost 6 inches high, set it up around the set, then filled it to the brim with playground wood chips. This beat digging a huge 6-inch deep gouge in our yard, that one day we'd need to fill when our daughter outgrows this and it needs to go.

Amazing Product

Just finished installing this play-set over the weekend. I was able to complete the build without assistance, but it can be a little challenging at times (i.e., installing the roof by yourself). It took about 13 hours to install (not counting leveling the ground). The instructions did not have any major issues (I believe they have been updated recently). Just make sure to note that the main pole with the sticker is pole that will attach to the swings/monkey bars. I had to find this by confirm it later in the manual based upon hole locations. The coating on the set is amazing, numerous times I thought that I would have scratched the finish; however it held up great to the install. The bolts come in separated packages that are labeled, allowing to locate the correct bolt easily and making sure you have used all of the correct bolts. They also include a spare parts bag, which was great after I stripped two bolts by not aligning them properly. I would suggest to pre-connect the bolt/nuts a few turns by hand before installing them. This allowed me to turn them by hand to confirm they would not be stripped and they had the proper alignment. The only thing I wish that was included, was the exact dimensions from the tower to the monkey bars.

Sturdy!!

I had just assembled a wooden play set from Toys-R-Us and used for less than a year and it was already showing signs of deterioration. I had to move to a new house and I didn't think the wooden set would survive an attempted move. I saw this swing set for roughly the same price and it is made so much better! It looks more like playground quality than the wooden set. In fact, I even swing with my son! I wouldn't even sit on a swing from the wooden set! I assembled this by myself over the course of a few days. It would definitely help to have another person assist, but you can do it alone if need be.

Love it!

I bought this three years ago. My girls love it and I bought it because metal is supposed to last longer then wood. Some random metal has started to rust like on the swing chains and a small part on a support bar but lifetime has stood behind their product for that reason I am giving it 5! I love lifetime and a company that stands behind their products. I won’t buy anywhere else for my outdoor stuff.

quality playset built to last

After numerous cheap metal swing sets and then wooden set that did not last five years I stopped being cheap and got this set for my three kids. I put it together by myself 5 hours the first day and another five hours the second day. It took some ingenuity. I had a friend help me lift the roof up onto the top and thats it. Kids love it. Money well spent.

Merry Christmas!

We bought this for the grandkids. I wasn't sure about it at first, but it was very well constructed and reasonably easy to assemble... you need two people, but one man can do most of it. Actually did a partial assembly at another location, the tower and swing support sections. Then hualed it in after dark and assembled completely to surprise the grandkids. Yes, we putthis up after dark, only took about three hours for Papa and Dad with mom holding a work light! Well worth the money, and the grandkids were stunned to see it sitting in the yard Christmas morning! Oh weather was unusually warm so we worked in shirt-sleeves to do this.
