I received the package a day after the actual delivery. It is worth to wait for the Epson Printer and I am very excited to use it for my work and see the outcome of my work with the use of my new Epson Printer. It is very easy to Install and being a wireless it makes it more comfortable to make more printing without getting back and forth to operate the printer and it is also make a lot hassle free to connect all the wirings from the printer to my laptop. I don't have any problem to encounter upon setting up and getting a great photo result. I love this printer even though I just have it for a short time. it makes my job easy and more convenient with the use of my Epson Printer, I am glad that I have given a chance to be chosen to do a sample test of the Epson Printer. This is a review for the Epson Eco Tank Photo ET-8550 Wireless Printer That I have received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

i have been using the printer for a week now. I must say this is by far the most efficient and fast printer i have. This is different than my traditional Printer with cartridges. The print quality is better, I print mostly photos for arts and crafts and media projects, and i can do so much with this printer than my HP! The set up and wifi connection was so easy, it has step by step instruction which helped me. Printing from my smartphone is so convenient, and less hassle. Perfect to use at home for its size its not bulky just the right size for my small office. The printer is Flexible and functional for all your printing needs.

So disappointed with this printer. I was originally enticed by the cost saving feature of the ink tanks for my small business but I waste way more ink and paper because of the consistently poor print quality, clogged nozzles (despite regular use) and paper jamming. Simple print jobs take me hours to do because I can't get the colours right or the paper is jamming and I'm trying to fiddle with settings. I would buy ANY OTHER printer besides this one. I've had one failure (false paper jam error) and had it replaced under warranty and the second isn't any better. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND SAVE YOUR MONEY! I wish I had.

I managed to find one still in stock during the pandemic at the old price. The resolution is amazing. But Epson has always had the best print heads. Add the larger format and the Eco tanks and you got a real game changer. But wait,, a scanner too, Nice!

The positive part of my review of this printer is the absolutely beautiful quality of the prints it produces. I have been able to create sparkling 13x19" photos on metallic paper, flawless high gloss 5x7 portraits, outstanding greeting cards and direct printing on DVDs. So why only three stars? The ET-8550 has a motor-driven output tray that opens as soon as the printing has started. Unfortunately, the gears that connect the tray to the motor are so sensitive, that a slight sideward accidental contact with the extended tray causes the meshing of the gears to separate, and the tray will not retract or open. Without the tray extended, the printer will not print! I have to manually physically pull the tray out until the light that is connected to the final stage of the output comes on. Afterwards, I must physically push the tray back into the printer, as the motor will not pull it in. I like the results of the printer so much that I am now going to try my third ET-8550. If you purchase one, I strongly recommend buying an extended protection plan, as I have used mine twice already. It is a shame that such a delicate motor drive system was engineered into what is otherwise a terrific product.

Have now used this printer for 3 weeks, printed off dozens of pictures on both glossy & matte Epson papers and am very satisfied with the results. My only frustration was that I set it up first on WiFi, and many sheets came out only half printed, ruining that print. I seriously thought the unit was damaged & considered exchanging it, but set it up with a direct ethernet cable: no more premature ejection problems! This is my 5th Epson Photo Printer & by far the best. I'm very pleased with the print quality.

I know Epson describes this as wireless printer but that is only true about 87% of the time (Per page printed). I moved the printer where it is absurdly close my computer and it will still fail by seizing up (usually after you printed about 70% of the document). Epson's only solution, is to wire the printer, (while not admitting that their product is defective).

The printer set up was extremely easy using my iPhone and the Epson app. The app walked through the various steps to setup the printer. The instructions were clear. The inks basically load themselves, each ink has a different configuration and printer has a corresponding configuration. The ink bottle loads only enough to fill the color tank then stops the fill process. There are different options to get the printer connected, I opted for Wi-Fi which was easy process. There are two front trays, one for 8x11 paper and the other for photo stock. There is one rear feed for all types of papers. I’m impressed by the quality, this printer is a pro quality and I am happy that I got this printer and I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a printer. After about 3 momths of using the printer to print 5-20 prints per day, the printer started to produce incredible poor streaks and no matter how many cleanings, deep cleanings, or print alignment we did, the problem continued. The worst part is the warranty service from Epson. Theres a reason I always used to buy cannon and perhaps it was a big mistake to use Epson.

This has to be the worst printer I have ever used. First they send you a CD that the newer MAC’s can’t use. The directions are terrible, even loading paper is a chore, not to mention how slowly it prints. You’d better not be in a hurry. And the print quality, even using their suggested paper is very disappointing, really Epson, you could have done better for the price.
