An absolute nightmare. Nothing works properly. It constantly says there is no paper, even when there is paper. Because its 1mm from the feeder. The paper constantly get stuck. The larger posters, print out missing lines everywhere. They removed a print size that I was regularly using from the defualts on the upgrade. And it was the size I bought the printer from. Its like you bought a car and the manufacturer, comes into your car one day and just removes a random peice of the car and says you dont need that anyways. Even the forgot password on their website doesnt work, Its been an absolute horrible experience. The worst piece of hardware I have bought in the last 20 years.

We purchased this printer in September and it is now November. I really love this printer and hope it continues to work as it does now. The only thing I wonder about is the ink because I already need to replace the magenta and gray ink. The prints are exceptional. I have to say I did not expect them to be this good. I highly recommend this printer at this time. I have also noticed it is very slow with my Wi-Fi.

This EcoTank Printer has been a great addition to our home office. It was easy to set up, I felt like it was intuitive and I just followed the prompts. Filling the tanks is easy too, just pour the corresponding ink into the well until it's full. I like that it uses ink rather than cartridges because it takes up less space and is also less waste. As for printing - It's been great! We have used it to print out photos from our vacation to Florida, used it for printing photos to finish off our gallery wall, and for a few end-of-the-school-year projects. It's a great printer! The printer came well packaged with a lot of shipping tape to hold the printer parts in place. Setup was so easy using my Samsung Note 8 and the Epson app. The app walked you through the various steps to setup the printer. The inks basically load them selves, each ink has a different configuration and printer has a corresponding configuration. The ink bottle loads only enough to fill the color tank then stops the fill process. There are several choices to get the printer connected. Epson made the process so easy to connect to WiFi using my phone. There are two front trays, one for 8x11 paper the other for photo stock. There is one rear feed for all types of papers. After several test prints I’m impressed by the quality. This printer is a pro quality printer. The Epson ET-8550 is expensive, in this case you will get what you pay for. I hope to save money by not having to purchase replacement ink cartridges for my old printer every couple of months. I do have one concern. There is an output tray that comes out of the printer that is motor driven when a item is printing doesn't self close. I hope the motor drive holds up after thousands of uses. There is a neat led light illuminating the output trap. I prefer to close the output tray when I have finished my printing process. I have had this printer for a couple of years. It works great for the most part. However, borderless printing never works. I have tried to make the paper bigger, click borderless, stretch everything to the edges of the project. It never prints borderless. There is always about an eighth inch space around the outside. Is there a trick, or an update I need to do?

I’ve had this for 3 months now & have had nothing but issues printing 2-sided. 99% of the time there is a paper jam when the paper is fed through the feed unit to print the back of the page. It is difficult to remove the rear feed unit to find the jam (you need a HUGE area to be able to turn the printer & access this rear area). When using 2-sided printing it often sounds like gears are grinding which generally is a precursor to the jam. Additionally, I’ve found jamming or 2 sheets fed instead of one if I have more than 8 pieces of paper in Cassette 2 (& if you just take pages out of a package without alternating them up/down or something) it frequently feeds 2 papers. The output tray is a pain being automated—it’s always in the way since I often have to input the 1st page printed into the cassette to print the 2nd page on the back—forced to do single side printing because of all the jams with 2 sided. Additionally I selected this printer so I could print larger pages, but the design with the rear feed makes it too inconvenient to use. I wish I’d been able to find one on display to see this part & I definitely would have passed in it. The only positive thing is that the ink lasts much longer than cartridges and the print quality is good. I loved my old Artisan 730 & deeply regret buying this printer.

This is a review for the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I absolutely love this printer. It is great for my business, my son's schooling, and every day printing. The setup is extremely easy and it walks you through it. I love that it is an eco tank and I don't have to mess with ink cartridges. Filling the ink tank is simple and quick. Printing is also on point and centered. I am able to print documents and other items directly from my phone which I love because I don't have to be close to the printer to send things to it for printing. I use my printer daily for invoices, printing my children's school work, printing labels, coloring sheets, scanning items to print and more. I love that I can print different sized papers. Overall this printer has been a great printer in helping me keep up with all of my printing needs. It prints super quick, the colors are bold and the black is dark. It allows me to send documents from my phone. The setup is very easy and self explanatory with instructions that walk you through each setup process. This printer allows me to scan and print documents with ease. It's eco tank allows me to quickly refill ink without any mess.

I’ve been using Epson Printers for many years starting with an Epson Stylus Photo 925. Several printers later, I finally acquired the ET-8550. All I can say is wow! Amazing results printing the photos from my photography gallery. Printer setup was a breeze and the EcoTank system is a welcome feature. I would highly recommend this printer to photographers or small art businesses looking for an economical solution for printing professional quality images.

It keeps leaking ink from under around the ink container. And the color is not so vibrant

I have had my Epson ET-8550 for over 1 1/2 years. It has performed excellently, both in Black & White and in color (including photos). It was easy to set up and I'm still on my original ink!
