Customer reviews for LG 7.3 cu. ft. Gas Dryer with Sensor Dry forLarge capacity/dries fast
Bought LG dryer about a month ago with washer. Once I was shown how to use the timer option I love using my dryer. Dries quickly with this option. Very roomy. Not fond of the lint trap as it's a little bit of trouble to clean out but getting used to it. All in all very pleased!! Definitely recommend!
Hey Trisha. Sounds like your LG laundry duo is a perfect match! 😊 The timer option is a game-changer for quick, efficient drying, and the spacious design makes laundry day a breeze. We appreciate your feedback on the lint trap—it can take some getting used to, but these tips and tricks can help with maintenance: https://shorturl.at/4NIUg. TOTALLY AWESOME
I am very happy with both my LG washer and LG dryer! The clothes have never come out better in cleanliness and after dryer results--I've used most of the settings, from AI to specific and they've all been terrific--hopefully these will last me a lifetime--I'm VERY HAPPY with them!
Bad touch controls
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really bad touch control panel. No one cautioned me about it and let me know there was a similar model with normal buttons. I have to push the start button 15 to 20 times to run the dryer. Called service who witnessed how many times I had to push the button. Said it was working as designed and told me about the other model. Too late for me to swap. I'm annoyed every time I use the dryer. The dryer door is great.
Hey there Mep! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on your dryer! Your feedback means the world to us, and we’re committed to making your experience as amazing as possible. If you’re finding that you need to press the start button a couple of times before it works, don’t worry—we’re here to help! Here are a few simple steps you can try: first, unplug the dryer to disconnect it from the power source. Next, while it’s unplugged, press and hold the [POWER/START] button for 5 seconds, then hold the [PLAY/PAUSE] button for another 5 seconds. After that, plug it back in and see if the issue is resolved. Additionally, check for dirt or debris around the start button and give it a gentle clean if needed. Lastly, inspect the door switch, as it might be causing issues with starting the dryer. If these tips don’t do the trick, we’ve got your back! Feature rich but door dud
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I like the dryer from the standpoint of being able to open it from top/down to move items from washer to the dryer more easily. However, I do not like the fact that the door when opened from the side will NOT stay open. You need to use your leg or other body part to hold the door open to remove clothes. As far as the features and drying ability, no issues.

Does a fine job and is Smarter than me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased your washer almost a month ago. Easy to use (even if it is smarter than I), and does a very good job. I like the tune it plays at the end of the cycle: it is so much more pleasant than a sharp buzz.
Not worth the money!
This gas dryer comes with the worst operator manual ever! The dryer comes with multiple settings that take more than one cycle to dry - the drying sensor is located in front so will shut off if it detects any semi-dry item. Repair person advised me not to use energy saver and use time dry only - could have gotten away with a much cheaper dryer if that was how I was going to use it! Disappointed!
Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience with the LG DLG8401WE. We understand your disappointment with the operator manual and the performance of the dryer. Your feedback is invaluable, and we'll make sure it is shared with our team to address these concerns and improve our products. Thank you for choosing our product and providing such detailed feedback. Your experience helps us strive to serve our customers better in the future. ~Ken
New and confusing
This dryer is delightfully large; dries just as hoped; have only a few questions: why won't the door stay open so I can move clothes from washer with both hands? why is the top slanted instead of flat which eliminates one of my main sorting spaces in my pantry? and, most importantly, why did I have to call your 800 number in order to get a real operating manual, because what comes with the dryer installation is worthless.
Hello, Mary! We appreciate your fantastic 5‑star review of your LG dryer! It’s great hearing that the large capacity and strong drying performance are hitting the mark for you. The questions you raised are thoughtful ones — the door design is meant to prevent it from swinging freely during loading, and the slanted top is part of the dryer’s styling and safety design. We're also glad you reached out for the full LG operating manual, since having the complete guide makes exploring all the features much easier! Solid dryer but only opens left to right
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer works well but never thought it would be such an ordeal to switch the door and would probably not buy again as it has been such a pain in the rear, lots of calls and still no switching of the door.

Dryer is Nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this DLE8400WE to match the washer. My old LG combo W/D was over 15 yrs old and I was not satisfied with the seal inside my front loader. I could never get it cleaned always had black spots inside and outside the seal even if I cleaned it out. The smell inside the seal was really bad. The new dryer is really nice. It has electronic keypad and it’s easy to use. I like the newer update the dust container. We are happy on our purchase. Lg has been a good investment for us. Hopefully they will last a long time like our other combo.
Hey Rothy, thanks for sharing your experience with the DLE8400WE. It’s great to hear the upgrade has been such a positive change, especially after dealing with that old front‑loader seal. The updated lint container and easy‑to‑use electronic controls really do make a difference day‑to‑day. We’re glad this new setup has been a solid investment for you, and we hope it serves you just as long as your previous LG pair. #LifesGood ❤️ If you ever need support, feel free to email lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. No right side vent for gas models- stupid design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I searched specifically for dryers with side venting and when I went to install it, I found that gas models don't support right side venting. Not only that, but the gas line sticks out at the bottom right by 3", so I also can't rear vent and turn right with the pipe, which is the way I need to go. And even if the vent went somewhere else, I can't push the dryer up against the wall because the gas line sticks out so far rather than being mounted at an angle, or at least cut back closer to the back of the unit. I haven't been able to use it because I need to build some crazy venting contraption to hook it up.
