Garbage
Dryer keeps displaying D90 code. Vent is 100 % clear. Support sucks and said I have to hire someone to clean the vent. What a pile of junk. Brand new dryer!

It's ok.
Unlike your mom, it doesn't do great with larger loads.
Hi Bravo, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand you’re not seeing the larger‑load performance you expected from your LG 7.3 cu ft Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with EasyLoad Door and AI Sensor Dry, model DLE8400WE. This dryer is designed to manage full loads, and a few quick checks can help improve consistency. Make sure the lint filter is fully clean before each cycle, confirm the vent duct has no restrictions, and try using AI Dry or Normal so the sensors can adjust time and temperature for the best results. Your product manual is available here if you’d like to review recommended loading and cycle guidelines: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-DLE8400WE.AEWEEUS?tab=1 If you need further assistance, feel free to email lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. Good Dryer, can't see the control panel too dim.
Control Panel is so dim that I am having to make labels so that we know what cycle to choose from. I've bought new lighting, turned off the lighting in the room; nothing helped it's just too dim. Dries very well but we cannot figure out what setting to put it on if we can't see the control panel. I would send back the washer and drier if they had a control panel that was printed.
Hey there! We're here to ensure your LG dryer provides excellent performance with clear controls. We understand your dryer dries very well, but you're finding the control panel too dim, making cycle selection difficult. We truly want to help resolve this. Large capacity/dries fast
Bought LG dryer about a month ago with washer. Once I was shown how to use the timer option I love using my dryer. Dries quickly with this option. Very roomy. Not fond of the lint trap as it's a little bit of trouble to clean out but getting used to it. All in all very pleased!! Definitely recommend!
Hey Trisha. Sounds like your LG laundry duo is a perfect match! 😊 The timer option is a game-changer for quick, efficient drying, and the spacious design makes laundry day a breeze. We appreciate your feedback on the lint trap—it can take some getting used to, but these tips and tricks can help with maintenance: https://shorturl.at/4NIUg. does not dry!!!
Consumer Reports recommended this dryer, however, my clothes have not once dried, remaining damp when the damp cycle is at 0. Also, the controls are in black against black and are hard to read. This might be a dud washer or the operator is not cognizant on how to use this dryer. It would be nice to know how to operate this dryer so I don’t have to replace it.

Not user friendly
Do not recommend. I loved my previous LG set. I was able to select a mode, then customize the options to fit my needs. The only options available are what are preset and most are med/high heat settings. I have a lot of office work attire and baby clothes that all need low settings and this is just not an option unless you choose quick dry, but then you lose the sensing option and you can only time dry.
Hey Jay. It sounds like your new dryer isn't offering the customization you're used to, and it's definitely challenging when you can't select the lower heat settings needed for delicate items like office wear and baby clothes. We understand how important it is to have precise control over your drying cycles. Many of our newer models, while having optimized preset cycles, can often be customized further. You might find additional cycle options or ways to fine-tune settings through the LG ThinQ app's download cycles. This could provide the flexibility you're looking for: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-thinq-how-to-use-download-cycles--20152746918577 To help explore more options, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport with your dryer's model number and purchase date. Feature rich but door dud
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I like the dryer from the standpoint of being able to open it from top/down to move items from washer to the dryer more easily. However, I do not like the fact that the door when opened from the side will NOT stay open. You need to use your leg or other body part to hold the door open to remove clothes. As far as the features and drying ability, no issues.

Bad touch controls
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really bad touch control panel. No one cautioned me about it and let me know there was a similar model with normal buttons. I have to push the start button 15 to 20 times to run the dryer. Called service who witnessed how many times I had to push the button. Said it was working as designed and told me about the other model. Too late for me to swap. I'm annoyed every time I use the dryer. The dryer door is great.

Next, while it’s unplugged, press and hold the [POWER/START] button for 5 seconds, then hold the [PLAY/PAUSE] button for another 5 seconds. After that, plug it back in and see if the issue is resolved. Additionally, check for dirt or debris around the start button and give it a gentle clean if needed.
