As compared to prior years, not so impressed, especailly with the filing of my state return.. In prior years, if I selected hard copy submission, the return would be prepaed for this method to include mailing addresses and guidance on the mailing process. I am not sure I have printed the correct from forms for state reporting. I believe the only reason this was the case is so Turbo Tax could push e-file for a fee on me.

The very first time I opened TurboTax to work on my tax filing prep, the very first task I came to was the W2/1099 NEC/1099 MISC. The instructions were wrong, telling me to input each date I paid out a subcontractor, even though I had paid out the same subcontractor 28 times in 2025. Secondly, there was a link right below the 1099 NEC "see an example". When I clicked on it a window opened that stated "there is no content to the context" Bogus!!!

It took too long to get the business components up and running. They weren't available until Jan 2026. As a result I had to figure out the business net income implications for i401K contribution limits on my own before 12/31/2025. Bottom line is I didn't fully benefit from paying for a business version of the software. Even place holders for business income and business expenses would have been better than not.

I was trying to use turbo tax for my granddaughter who is a door dasher. I was told by first agent that I needed to buy the home and business upgrade in doing so it did not resolve the iinformation I was looking for so I called back turbo tax agent who also walked me though the process of filling out information for 1099 NEC and let me know I did not have to pay the additional upgrade Lesson learning on that.. Sometimes you have to call back several times to get the right answer

I found out that TurboTax 2025 was not compatible with Windows 10. After using a license code, I was not able, in my own to recover and reuse the license code. So, I called TurboTax Help. My license code issue was quickly resolved. I was able to continue on a new Windows 11 computer without incident.

Turbo Tax is an amazing, accurate, easy to use computer program for filing federal and state taxes. I've been a Turbo Tax customer / user for over 25 years!! There have been a few bugs along the way, but every year Turbo Tax gets better and better!! so my review for 2024 is 5 STARS!!! However, I have to say, I'm very disappointed with Turbo Tax because I've been informed by Turbo Tax that my automatic purchase / renewal software for Tax Year 2025 will not work on a (my) computer using Windows 10!! So now I have to go buy an new computer because my current system does not meet the new system requirements to run Turbo Tax 2025. OUCH!!

I wish I was advised to update my Desktop version before I attempted to efile--as they were rejected due to lack of update. Also, continue to be disappointed in TurboTax ability to file joint federal return but separate spousal state returns (eg NJ and NY). The work around to create fake federal returns is too cumbersome, so I just use each state efile separately. You could build the logic to separate income and expense items by spouse and this would be a no brainer to then produce separate state returns.

I like the fact that T-tax keeps all my info from my previous return. I am accustomed to the question and answer method of inputting my w2s, 1099s, etc. However, I think that the company should offer discounts based on the number of years of customer loyalty. I literally get nothing. I don't even get a free state file. It seems like the cost rises, with no recognition for loyalty. I tried a free service online, and they had an easier upload option for many of the w2s and other forms I need to enter. I really liked that convenience. In the end I came back to T-tax because it is familiar to me. It is a very good product, but also expensive. I would give 5 stars if they showed some love for my loyalty.

I have input the necessary data to create the 2025 W2 and W3. The forms are visible on the screen. When I attempt to print, all data is put in 2024 forms and NOT 2025. I have deleted and reentered and this happens repeatedly. When I use the 'easy' version offered by Intuit, as an alternative, it does not complete the boxes correctly and does not mirror the prior year as to the employer.

Turbo Tax Federal is straight forward and easy to understand. I let it go through everything and I fill in the blanks. The State of Maine part not so much. It says you can file for $20 and after all is said and done they hit you up for another $40 processing fee
