The desktop version has more flexibility, control, and security than online version. Access is not dependent on internet service to wok on one's tax or logging in to one's account. Once done, it's easy to submit the returns. TT needs to keep the desktop version.

Was needlessly asking for a password I did not understand. Would not transfer data from the previous year. Steered me to online tax filing when I had paid to download the application. Took 20-30 minutes to find the download page. Getting started was stressful, buggy, and not easy.

refund of $-2,564 ??? Why not just show "2025 amount owed" ??? sometimes the screens don't make immediate sense, but overall I'd much rather use TurboTax than paper forms or my own spreadsheet forms... thanks for making it simple/affordable as possible :-)

I have used Turbotax since the 1990's even as my business and tax situation has become more complicated. I still find it the most efficient way to enter and organize all my financial information. Their calculations and worksheet links are flawless and the prompts for entry and search for deductions is reliable. For me, this saves time and money compared with preparing my data for an accountant and then working with them to file on my behalf.

Extremely frustrating. Forms that pull from other forms that you didn't start, impossible to figure out how to fix links. Impossible to get the IRS to accept the efiling because the AGI didn't match. I pulled my tax reports directly from the IRS, using those numbers, and it STILL wouldn't confirm identity. Checked all drivers license info 3 time. After trying to e-file 6 times I'm just mailing it in like I did in 1987.

I identified a material calculation error (a Schedule A double deduction erroneously populated by TurboTax). I tried calling TurboTax to advise of the error. After 40 minutes on hold, I was then transferred to "Technical" so they could help me with my "user" error. It was evident there was no comprehension that TurboTax had the calculation error. My call was then dropped. There was no call back even though that information was collected at the beginning of the call.

Not sure why form 8995 was generated for a $1 section 199A dividend that resulted in no affect on tax.

The IRS requested more forms that delayed the refund which should have been caught upon final review.

I got help from an expert in the chat, they solved my problem and gave me the tools I needed to finish my taxes.

2025 Turbo Tax was much harder to use thab previous years. It was hard to figure out how to enter certain info.
