Turbo Tax Home & Business does a good job at helping you to not miss deductions and filling the information in the correct place. The reason for 4 stars is because every year there is an issue with entries that need to be entered or changed. TT finds the issues and puts the actual return itself on the screen, but what to enter in is often not clear so you must go back to the TT input questions and go over each section one by each to figure out what the problem is and what to change to fix the problem. It would be better if TT would supply a link to the section involved. I had entered a 179 deduction with no deduction amount because I was not sure what that figure should and needed to looked it up. Then realized I should not use it, but did not delete the entries which had no amount entered. 2 days later when I finished the return and attempted to file it, the mistake was picked up, but i took me an hour to fix that and one more mistake.

Overall, reasonably good. Lots of problems with the business tab and the retirement part of it. In that tab, it appears to show I can still contribute $46,500 to a SEP, but that contribution does not affect my overall tax. Other places in the Turbo Tax code, it appears to contradict the business tab. Finally, no matter what I do, the high level of the business tab for retirement still states "available" in green. Is that a mistake that the "available" in green never seems to go away. It is very confusing. Turbo Tax can and should make their software better.

Unfortunately, the 2025 version of TurboTax is extremely buggy. I have used Intuit for over 20 years and have never experienced so many issues and challenges with the software. I purchased the MAC desktop version because of special filing of community income, and it was a total disaster. I had to figure out how to work around the program to get the forms filled accurately. In addition, the download features were very delayed and buggy as well. I finally had to manually fill my forms from my financial institutions to ensure accuracy.

had heck ting to get the newest copy your website would not allow me to update my visa and once i did buy it it did not get credit to my account instead I received an email asking me to update my payment so it could be charged for what I already had and then an update lost the links to my filled out Tax return and I had to manually find it and open it so TurboTax would know where it was all in all i wasted over a week working thru problems with TurboTax it was a waste of money in fact all the work I had to do to get my taxes done I figure TurboTax owes me but I will not hold my breath cause y'all think you are good, your noy juts better than the alternates I had time to look art i will definitely be looking for more next year.

got the job done. Desktop preferred because it gives the running result of fed and state at top. I tried online edition and that appeared late in the interview process. And I can do other family taxes on same desktop purchase, not true for online. Desktop cost is lower than online. I see Intuit is pushing online.

I find your display of various imported accounts is not helpful. My wife and I have multiple accounts with Vanguard. You just show our names when I try to review each account under the Dividends and 1099-R screens. The import has our Account numbers from Vanguard, it would be quite useful to display the account number. I had to look at the totals then compare to the 10 documents I had printed from Vanguard and had to use the Amount displayed against each form to be sure I went in to edit fields needed, such as non covered sales,

Overall process and use worked well, as usual. I found the import process results to be confusing as presented on the screen. I ultimately figured it out, but not before TurboTax counted some entries twice due to my misinterpretation of the dat and the instructions.

I had multiple foreign taxes on dividends. T.Tax would not take multiple countries to which tax was paid. I filed with incorrect information as it was a deduction that probably would not have made a difference. Is slow to load and takes way to long to update. Makes me think you're collecting data from my computer

Overall my experience has been good. However, when I purchased the software, I was told that the Hawaii state return was INCLUDED in the charge. When I checked out to file, I was charged $25.00. I did not have a choice but to pay if I wanted my return to be sent. At this time, however, I must complaint about this "bait and switch" strategy. I therefore demand an immediate $25.00 credit to my credit card of record.

Started with the On-Line version this year. Did NOT like it. Almost done and I went back to doing it all over again with the desktop version. Something didn't make sense and found that I had 'imported' vanguard data that I already had entered. Have a big problem with needing a separate field to list what the IRS calculated RMD basis for each account SEPARATE from what I happened to withdraw to achieve the combination of my QCD and my RMD. Has to search for the QCD (it is only listed as Charity - not QCD) entry. No simple way to see total of all my accounts that require an RMD, and what my RMD & QCD were.
