Very displeased with system crashes this year. Click "learn more" or click a link (print or review, business special situations) and the system crashes!!! Update ios on computer, works for a bit then another crash same issue...very glitchy and gives me low confidence! What happened to It's deductible? I liked using it for charitable donations. The initial download of the software to my laptop is not "old people" user friendly...challenging to figure out where/how to enter code...better instructions would help. The login process to pull investment information feels sketchy. I would like to review the forms before being directed to pay for state filing, not afterwards. I get that you want everyone to go to the online system, but some of us still live in rural areas with less reliable internet 24/7...personal pc access is important to continue working on taxes. Come on folks... make this work better for those of us that bought a disc and loaded it to have on our devices for so many years.

I love TurboTax Home & Business software. I have been using for 5 years now and it's so easy to use. Just answer yes or no and input income information from your business docs or W-2. I love the smart check feature which checks your returns for errors. My refund has never been denied or delayed.

CA tax module does not handle IRA distribution well. My 1099-R Col 16 is empty, software said just use the $ amount in Col 1 or 2 to put it in Line 4 --IRA distribution adjustment. It made a big refund for me, but I know this is not correct. After reading the rule of federal and CA, both treat taxable the same way, there should not be an adjustment to put in Line 4. I put zero in Line 4 and it show due amount for me.

Would be good to have a fully working version ready (or at least some preliminary version of the software) at the beginning of the year. I purchased TurboTax 2026 in Jan 2026 because I urgently needed to do estimations for my 2026 tax return (required for some of my applications). Surprisingly it appeared that some of important sections in the purchased software did not work at all so that I had to do everything manually. Required updates became available only in mid February. For the future versions it would be really good to have a fully working version at the beginning of the year .

I don't need 'tax experts.' I've been filling out the same topics for 20 years using turbotax. What I DO need is Windos10 support. I refuse to use Windows 11 for security and privacy concerns. Instead, by using Turbotax, I have now exposed my information in ways I can't get back. Many of my fellow IT specialists agree which is why we have refused to 'upgrade' to that worthless product. If Windows 10 isn't supported, I wouldn't expect that many of us will continue to use Turbotax. With what I've done for the last 20 years, it's easy enough to fill out the forms directly, it's just 'easier' to use the UI and not need to 'search' for changes. Having to only use 1 windows 11 machine (my wife's) and only being able to use it when it's not in use (scheduling is a thing) instead of the other 20 computers here is extremely difficult.

I had to spend that $60.00 fee to talk to an agent. Two hours of waiting for help, I was finally contacted by Nathan. The problem was that I was at the finish line and the Federal could not be accepted. Nathan worked with me for over an hour. He successfully solved the problem by upgrading my software. It was very complicated but he knew just what to do all the while calming me that it just takes time. He saved me. Honestly, he saved me. Thank you again Nathan for everything, Lou Anne

This has been my most frustrating experience in all the years I've used Turbo tax. I had to buy a new computer this year because my other one wouldn't run Windows 11. I thought with a new computer and we now have good high speed internet it would be smooth sailing. Downloaded product, ran updater, no problem. Loaded some information and signed off. Came back some days later to resume work, started Turbotax which prompted update. Ran update to 39% and it froze. Waited 30 minutes and no change. Tried to cancel update, wouldn't cancel. Tried to shut off computer, it wouldn't let me, had to force cancel. Tried again 2 more times, same thing, gave up. Started again next day, tried some suggestions found on Turbo tax site, still no success. Changed internet browser and tried again, said 6 minutes, ran very slowly for over 20 minutes, finally took off, said would 30000 some thousand minutes then went to 0 and FINALLY RAN UPDATE. After 2 days frustration finally finished taxes. Hope this update issue gets fixed. It worked fine when I initially installed the product and when I came back some days later to resume working it went loco. Nothing had changed on my end, same browser, same computer. What happened? Hope you figure it out, was feeling my money might be better spent getting a local tax professional.

For the first time ever, my return was rejected because of a "The Spouse did not enter a valid Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN)." I went back and checked and it was there. What's the deal????? Just because I didn't pay the extra $60. for tax advice????

I had to buy a new laptop to use your desktop version and I've been a loyal customer for better than 10 years. The fact that this last minute discovery windows 11 was required was the sorriest way to treat customers. I kept with your product but if I had an alternative to import my previous returns into I would have fired you.

I've been using it since it's beginnings and truth to tell the user interface has declined dramatically in the past three years. Navigating forward and backward in the program used to be intuitive. Now it is so clunky it slows me down tremendously.
