I have been using TurboTax since the days of floppy discs as tax returns became increasingly complex and unmanageable if trying to complete on paper. Overall, with tax code also becoming increasingly complex, I've come to appreciate the accuracy of calculations that need to draw on prior year's data through the present. Interactive features have been appreciated for getting "just in time" help. The fact that TurboTax has also developed compatibility for importing data from many banks and brokerages has been a blessing as 1099 forms and reports become more detailed, and where hand-entry can result in errors. I much appreciate three key interface options TurboTax has for working on the forms and calculations that must be completed. Being able to see the actual forms is sometimes necessary to find and resolve problems and errors - and where I have most appreciated expert help. While the walk-through option comprehensively covers all areas, I prefer the option to choose where I want to go. The internal reporting option almost always captures errors that need correcting and where I sometimes need expert help. The "share screen" function worked flawlessly, to include suppressing personal data that did not need to be part of an expert discussion.

Data entry is, seemingly, designed to force people to use Import. Manual entry requires several extra steps, each time, just to start entering the data. Data capture is inconsistent. Almost every "error" I had to correct was based on the program not carrying the data from one form to another. I don't want to pay to e-file my state return. TT made pay a price to eventually get to Print State; it wanted to default to e-file.

I began reporting a second business this year as a stock trader. I found this field very confusing and the program went into something having to do with some agricultural co-op. As so many people are getting into this field, I think you need to do some vast improvements there. I have used Turbo Tax for several years, but this was all new to me. And you did not make it easy.

I had multiple foreign taxes on dividends. T.Tax would not take multiple countries to which tax was paid. I filed with incorrect information as it was a deduction that probably would not have made a difference. Is slow to load and takes way to long to update. Makes me think you're collecting data from my computer

every time log in, have to upgrade even in the same day, waste time. This year online report is completely new for me, so confused, too complicated, waste me too much time until I found desktop report which I use every year, familiar with the screen. I used my new computer this year, different brand from the old computer, then unable to transfer my last year tax report information. I think as long as our name and SSN match, last year tax information suppose pop up by itself,

Overall my experience has been good. However, when I purchased the software, I was told that the Hawaii state return was INCLUDED in the charge. When I checked out to file, I was charged $25.00. I did not have a choice but to pay if I wanted my return to be sent. At this time, however, I must complaint about this "bait and switch" strategy. I therefore demand an immediate $25.00 credit to my credit card of record.

Worst tax software I have ever used. Very hard to move around in. The chat bot is absolutely useless. The fact that you charge for more help is awful. Input screens are not in the best locations. Very hard to find what I needed. What a hassle to get to look at a draft after making changes. Last night the wait time for a phone call was 1 hour, 15 minutes yet it said I was "next in line".

I have been using TurboTax for years and I have had more problems than I have ever had with the software. 1. Miss ItsDeductible...this is a key feature. 2. Downloading from my bank did not work the first few times. 3. Could not transmit my taxes the first time. Told me it needed more info and then kept going in a loop. I had to shut everything down and then went through everything again to transmit. Took me three times to do this.

Too many gliches in program. Especially printing. Most solutions involve work-arounds that have to be made by the user instead of updates correcting software problems by Turbo Tax. This requires research online to find the work-around solutions. Also 1099 import feature does not work well and is not timely available. When it works, it is valuable feature espesecially with 1099 Broker Composites.

This year the Schwab downloading had glitches: Safari would not load "CONSENT " button at bottom of disclosure page ??? I switched to chrome , and it worked. then ..... even after it seemed (and actualy did ) it should have downlaoded, the turbotax dialog boxes showed that schwab still needed to be "EDITED" this was very confusing. indicating to me that maybe it had not downloaded. it has never done this in past years. Great product,, makes taxes almost acceptale.
