Could not upload documents here like we could on the regular website version. The program waited and provided a 1099 in my error check after I had already input all of the information. (the company did not provide me one directly). If this is an option why not provide it up front? Ended up doubling my income and had to be corrected.

Aggravating. Always aggravating. One page says "Lets check to see if you are eligible for xyz". Continue. "Nope, you're not eligible." Does TurboTax talk just to hear itself talk? Also, when I go over a series of checkbox screens that I HAVE ALREADY FILLED OUT, to get to something I want to change, DON'T make me think about them all and check the boxes again! And when. question involves last year's return DON"T make me look it up. You are just wasting my time. Earn your keep. Act like you care. Read your own stuff.

I found out that TurboTax 2025 was not compatible with Windows 10. After using a license code, I was not able, in my own to recover and reuse the license code. So, I called TurboTax Help. My license code issue was quickly resolved. I was able to continue on a new Windows 11 computer without incident.

The INTEREST/DIVIDEND/INVESTMENT SECTION IS RIDICULOUS TIDEOUS AND SO CONFUSING. PLEASE REVERT BACK AS IT WAS BEFORE 2023. Also, in 2025 i could NOT import my data from my investment accounts!!!! I tried everything! For some reason, TT kept feezing this year as well and ALSO shut down and gave me an error that data could not be saved. SO many inconsistancy's this year. I am very disappointed.

GREAT PROGRAM!!! HOWEVER, THE BUTTON TO CHANGE DEDUCTION STATUS, DID NOT WORK. FORCED TO CALL TECH SUPPORT WHO WAS GREAT AND MADE A WORK AROUND BECAUSE HE COULD NOT GET THE BUTTON TO WORK EITHER. SPENT MORE THAN 1 HOUR ON THE PHONE WITH THIS ISSUE?!!

I use Turbo Tax every year. My main issue is it isn't easy to navigate to some areas or find certain details. I wanted to see all my Capital Gains in one place to review each one - I didn't see how to do this. I want to have Turbo Tax walk me through all of my answers as if I was starting a new return but I have to click on each subject in edit mode to see the questions and answers - it would be nice to just click and be sent to each page automatically. I wonder if some confusions are on purpose in order to get people to sign up for assistance?

I have used TurboTax for 15 years or so, and have encountered a frustrating number of problems with TurboTax and the Intuit website during each of the last three years. I am offering these comments hoping they will be helpful in addressing these issues.

The 2025 Home & Business edition had one flaw - it did not have a "None" option when it told me to check a year I received a PPP loan. I received no loan, and had to call the TurboTax help phone number. Darlene guided me through the process of deleting the PPP form, and then ensured my return was error free. On a Sunday night no less.

I had to do my taxes 3 times. The first time TurboTax unexpectedly quit and I lost all my info. The second time I was able to do my federal return but because I'm in a RDP needed to change my filing status for the state return. I opened a new one to confirm how I should file because selecting RDP after selecting single is not an option and then it overwrote my info so I had to do it a third time. Then I had to print out my state return because it won't let me e-file it separately from the federal one, but doesn't tell you that until after you pay for it. I paid for the state filing twice but couldn't use it.

I'm not sure whether this was a compatibility issue, but the software felt glitchy at times. The biggest frustration was the user experience. I had to switch between Forms view and EasyStep multiple times because the explanations for certain errors or corrections were not always clear. Then, when I switched back, it did not always return me to where I left off, so I ended up repeating steps I had already done. That got annoying fast. Another issue was the constant feeling of being upsold. For software I already paid for, there were still too many prompts for extra-cost features and services. It made the experience feel more like I was being nickel-and-dimed than simply using a product I had already bought. My spouse also mentioned how often the software seemed to need updates and questioned why there were so many. That said, it still gets the job done, and overall I would call it an okay tool for doing taxes. I just expected a smoother and more straightforward experience for the price.
