1. I had completed my taxes and TurboTax said i needed to update for my state taxes. i updated ad my tax record was not saved. TurboTax did not say to save my file. when TurboTax came back up my return was gone. I had to re-enter all my data again. I when from a refund of $800+ to owing $379. I was very upset. TurboTax should save after each section automatically so this doesn't happen. 2. AMT section should instructions how to enter the amount. I was very confusing and i had to keep entering numbers until TurboTax would accept the entry. I don't know if it was correct of not. 3. Why do additional state returns cost so much? I'm not happy about that.

TurboTax OK I've been with it since the 90s and this is the worst year where they just repeat questions and things you've already filled in very confusing but it is the first year. I'm using the program on a Mac mini or Apple system. Also, I don't like the fact that it doesn't flow as well as it did a few years ago. Also, I'd like to be able to save the tax return and have that feature where I can include worksheets and print them or not include worksheets that seems to be taken away. They also on the Apple version ask you to print the return and they give you no ability to save the return as a PDF.

Needs more explanation about what other aspects of your return may be affected if you opt to do something. Also needs better navigation within the app for those of us that jump around a bit. You currently have to go through so many screens to get to where you are trying to go. That feels clunky and antiquated.

When reporting foreign incomes, you really need to know what you're doing as there are manual steps to add the reporting incomes to the appropriate schedules. They are not automatic. For example, interest income from Form 8938 would not go to Schedule B automatically and have to enter them manually.

This time I had to use windows 11 and the experience was very difficult, I had to have my son who is the administrator sign every time I was filling out the information and log-out because there were updates, before the updates were done automatically no need of administrator. I save the files several time an every time I came back I had to re-entry information I had input before

I owe zero State tax and elected to e-file Federal taxes and file state taxes by mail. You don't make that easy. It keep asking me efile my state returns. I had to back up and select file by mail for everything so it would print my state forms for me to mail. It also keep telling me "not to forget" to print and sign a payment voucher for federal taxes when I already efiled them. This is not necessary.

If could give a zero i would. Trying to force people to use the online that you neglected the desktop version. Been using Turbo Tax for 20 years now. I think this is my last year! Spent hours trying to figure out this maze of crazy! Your help is 0 help, your search is 0 help. Trying to find the 540 ES anywhere was a joke! The only help was ChatGTP.

Have been using Turbo Tax to file my returns for years. Don't like this year 2025 filing when the Audit Advantage is free but have to disclose all information to third party. I've declined the offer but kept getting pushed to enter information including my my credit card when I try to pay for State (already used up the free one for another return). Very confusing!!! Will not use Turbo Tax next year.

I have been a Turbo Tax user for more years than I can remember. I must say I was extremely annoyed, this year, that the software was not backward compatible to Windows 10. I am fortunate that I had a Windows 11 computer at another location, that I had to drag home just to do my taxes. Extremely short sighted on Intuit's part, in my opinion. I've already spoken with a dozen people who found other solutions to TT this year. You folks do your customer base a huge disservice with decisions like this. All because MS withdrew support last October? Wow.

Turbotax intentionall has made it impossible for desktop product users to pay for state efile. It hasnt worked for years and years. Normally there is a phone number to call, even that is removed now. You are selling a product that is impossible to efile taxes with. This is fraud to get customers to switch to browser product. Then stop selling the desktop product. I will be reporting this multi year "bug" that you have intentionally retained to BBB.
