It is a good product for those who want to prepare taxes on their own. Certainly, a better alternative than H&R Block. Fortunately for those who do not want to prepare their own return VITA and AARP provide a great alternative to H&R Block as they are free of charge.

Most forms entered properly, but: 1. 2 forms 1099-R were issued for rollover distribution between 2 financial institutions to one IRA and TT added the two distributions together as if they were separate distributions instead of two transfers of the same distribution. Both were nontaxable so no harm was done to increase my taxes due. 2. On one W2 form, TT review showed an error stating that an amount of $0 tax withheld did not have a state identified with the tax withheld. I put my state "PA" as identifier and error was resolved, but I did not have such an item on my W2 form when I filled it out.

This year is the first year that I have had any problems with TT. I wanted to buy Audit Defence and pay for a state efile. Done this for years. This year, though, when I wanted to pay by credit card, I couldn't. Drop down field for months would only go to 10.

I purchased a turbo tax Home & Business Federal + State. Given the title, I would expect the E-File expense to be included. However, buried in the fine print it is noted that there is an additional state e-file fee. The advertising is misleading. In addition, there are many attempts to upcharge with additional service throughout the program. This is already one of the most expensive software's on the market without additional fees.

Its getting worse and worse at parsing imports, i'm having to go down into the PDF files to find out what it can't parse, figure out how to solve it and do it myself. The online forms are just full of unanswered questions. The workflow is terrible, and I'm still having to manually input bank statements because it won't work with my bank.

I've been using TurboTax for over 25 years and found it to be a very accurate software compared to other brands used earlier. It is always been compatible with my Windows computers. Feature-wise, it covers all of our different tax scenarios and the interface is very easy to use. Reports are accurate and easy to read.

I have worked with 2 turbo tax experts to try and import my 2024 turbo tax to my 2025, turbo tax software couldn't find it on my computer, the tax experts could't find it either. So I couldn't import. why didn't it save, I pressed the save button before I filed and it didn' save it - its lost. what do I do now? Im using iMac desktop computer - Please help

TurboTax still does not generate a LA form 10606 for out-of-state income despite repeated requests to do so over the last several years. It must be done manually. This is ironic, since one of the worksheets has exactly the information needed to fill out the form. Any reason why TurboTax continues to refuse to address this issue?

One issue I had is that the return for my daughter indicated that she could deduct $8,000 to her IRA. We did that, then TurboTax said she was not eligible for the deduction. I called and talked to a Turbo Tax expert and she looked it up and found that the $8,000 can not reduce self employment taxes.

I tried doing my taxes 'on-line', this was confusing....I spent two days filling out forms only to find out that I could not do my 'Business' on line. Called Turbotax 'help' line and the agent was very nice and explained to me why I could not do on line.....i had purchase "Home and Business" and downlond to my PC. It was much easier when I would buy Turbo Tax on a disc.....that made more sense.
