CA Form 3532 Head of Household, Question 3 is conf

CA Form 3532 Head of Household, Question 3 is confusing. If instructions are followed, it says if the person is a dependent (not a child), do not answer the questions and hit continue. But, when you do the review, it says that the form is incomplete and requires you to answer the questions.

Brittany was AMAZING!!!!

Brittany saved my life and my wallet! it was a rocky start in the beginning because the call kept disconnecting but when we finally got connected, she helped me through to amend my return. I had not done it correctly. after she helped me fix the return, it showed i actually gained money instead of owed! she was so patient with me and guided me step by step and explained where my mistake was and together we fixed it!!! i hope Brittany stays with turbo tax in the future cause she is awesome and her assistance is superior!!! your the best Britt!!!!

This year was better than previous but still.

Entry went fine. This year I downloaded my broker data before the file dates so that worked. There is no warning to download bank/broker data before the last file dates. Last year my e-file returns were rejected even though I paid the State fee with the $10 applied. This year the $10 would not apply to the state e-file fee so I paid the full $25. I expect the e-file to be rejected because this has consistently failed for me when I file before October 15. This year was smoother that past years.

The year I finally have decided to move on from TT

It forced several errors on me this year. Would not let me take home office deduction because "my business income was zero", but it was not zero! $25 to e-file a state return is too much! I pay a premium price even at my club store. Asking me to correspond offline and change my review? No! Bullies do their stuff in private. You asked.

Foreign tax credit

The interview on foreign tax credit is weak. It should define foreign income sources and give an example of how to handle foreign taxes paid by a taxpayer with three or four foreign stocks and RICs which paid dividends exceeding $600. I ended up doing it by hand.

TurboTax Payment Process Needs to be Updated

Overall, no problems with filing my taxes (Feds plus MO and CO). My disappointment is in your payment process. I paid for Audit Defense, one additional State and then $20 to e-file each state. First, recommend you just bake in the price to e-file for the states. Feds are free. You offer one state to create the return for free. When I bought the second state, HIGHLY recommend you allow the user to e-file for each state that is either offered or purchased. Don't be like the airlines for baggage...just make it part of your service. Second, when I did have to pay for these three services, I had to fill out the EXACT same screens as though TT didn't know who I was (i.e. name, address, billing address, credit card info)--again, THREE times! I found it maddening that even after "Saving my Payment info to my account"; your system didn't have a PoP-up to ask "Do you want to use the saved credit card from your account?". Bottomline: what is the purpose of having to sign into your TT account if your payment system doesn't use any of the information from the account? Thanks for listening. Hope it can be an easy update for next year. Email / call me if you want to chat with a "real" user. Have a GREAT day! I would hope it would be a simple fix

First problem in 10 years

I have use Turbo Tax for the last 10 years and never had a problem until this year. I filed my taxes on April 12, 2025 printed out the return and never heard back from the IRS or NMTax. I contacted Turbo Tax Experts and they told me to refile. There was no indication from Turbo Tax that there was a problem. So, maybe The IRS was having difficulties. Don't know

I had problems with BILLING (Aud Def & State Tax)

There is a problem for those that need to file an extension to wait until after April 15 for a K-1. First, it is not clear if and when you must make the payment for state tax filing. I made it when I was filing for an extension.....but when I came back to file my final taxes...the TURBOTAX program wanted to charge me AGAIN for the state filing. So, not wanting to pay double, I went through the headache to fill out the Colorado State tax filing forms onliine. (I believe that you guys owe me $20 or $25, or whatever you charged me for my CO State Tax Filing that never got used due to my concerns and confusion. I hope I hear from you.) Also, the program seemed to be somewhat silent on audit defense when filing.....not clearly acknowledging that I had paid for that at the time I filed for the extension as well. But I have my receipt in case we have any disagreement there.

I dont like TurboTax

TurboTax is too cumbersome to use and they try to sell unnecessary services every step of the way. They charge $25 dollars to file state tax returns. I cant wait for a competing product that will make TurboTax irrelevant and I'll never have to use this product again

Program updates Needed

The program allows me to attempt e-filing and submitting payment for fees even though that option is not available. The program had numbers pulled in I assume may have resulted from prior tax years, (or prior inputs that I had no way to validate. Also, the program allows options for filing fees to be deducted from refund (which includes additional fees for services with Green Dot bank). It gives the option to pay with a credit card, with no available method to pay with an alternative method. These options need to be removed as the program does not allow any fees to be returned or refund amount updated. Then a message comes up that says efiling season is over.... It also attempts program updates that start and will not complete, and offers the option for audit defense, but when the filer attempts to sign up for it - it attempts to charge the filer for services but does not offer option to add credit card information.
