I think your the software should be self-contained when looking for information about fixing an error. I felt like I was on a wild goose chase trying to figure out what the line item was for that needed correction, and where it was in the return. There was no context for the errors to fix.

For 2026, just like every previous years, there were persistent errors that prevented filing. Hours of online searches followed by deleting multiple forms and re-running the app finally eliminated the unknown problem ("STDREF marked as estimated", whatever that means). At least I was able to update the app this year, unlike the previous two years. TTax's idea of "help" is asking other users to address workarounds to their bugs rather than actually supporting their product. If you don't expect much you might like the product.

Please fix the pay by credit card feature for paying for e-file of state return (or better yet include it in the price of the software. I was unable to use my credit card despite getting live help and trying multiple cards. This resulted in having to spend an extra $40. Seems like a scam by Intuit/Turbotax, which I am reporting to our state AG.

There were changes made to the investment income download/entry into TurboTax this year that were confusing with comparison to prior year information. This added considerable time to the entry and review of the income downloads. This affected my rating considerably. Also, I am a long time user of TurboTax. There should be some financial benefit in terms of cost for us users.

Negatives: No integration of It's deductible, and having to retype all donations and carry them over manually. Simplifying terrible at this point. AI through a number of programs helped but why isn't this part of Turbo Tax! Also: Overly complicated the sale of my vehicle and business use % for gain/loss. Again, using AI Lumo/Chat GPT was much better in giving advice. The BBB (big beautiful bill) and w2 was not accurate, and I had to figure out how to enter it manually. Interview and forms did not sync up if edit separately.

I used this Desktop version on a MacBook with OS 26.3.1. It frequently hung up, had "spinning circle of death..." causing me to restart the program. Generally wasn't easy to use. I've used TurboTax for years and this was the worst version to date. In the State version, it did not identify or calculate that I needed to pay for late estimated tax payments.

I am able to calculate my taxes myself using TurboTax.Have done so for several years. I now use the home-and-business version. The interface is pretty good; handy retrieval from prior year's return. Nice break-out bubbles for explanations in context, helpful on-line community, and easy access to purchase individual help. Didn't need that help this year, but last year the person was knowledgeable and courteous. I will use TurboTax again next year.

I found it difficult to download information from a common Broker. I had to hand type my information into Turbo Tax, as each time I downloaded one for me, it would delete what was downloaded for my wife and vice-versa. Had to review it closely because it left items out.

This year's edition was just adequate. Primarily since it forced the use of Windows 11 and then was never able to import tax forms (any 1099's including stock trades) from my financial institution. This is a major flaw and unless it is fixed, I cannot recommend the program. This is an essential function that just does not work anymore for my financial institution. And there is essentially no information on a work around except to manually enter the information. Very poor execution.
