TOO MANY PROBLEMS TO LIST TO IT COMPLETLY CRASHING AND CORRUPTING THE DATA. CHECK BOXES BEING CHECKED AND CAN NOT UN CHECK BOX . UPDATES CHANGE THE WAY THE DOCUMENT LOOKS IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS PASTED TOGETHER LIKE A 3 YEAR OLD NO FLOW OR CONTINUITY WORST WAS THE INTREST INCOME, STOCK, DIVIDENDS, ETC COULD NOT BYPASS THE ELETRONIC "GET MY FILES FOR ME " CONSTANT , ON TOP OF THAT I COULD NOT SEE MY INTREST ON ONE PAGE ! HAD TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IT WAS THE WORST CHANGE THIS YEAR!

I had a large number of charitable deductions to enter into the program. As I reached a high number of entries the system to a point where the program just about crapped out. It took several minutes for the system to react to a single key stroke. I upgraded to the personal/business version and I was able to enter the rest of my charitable deductions without a problem. Several other issues: (1) When entering a number in the charitable deductions section if a typo error was made, it was not possible to backspace and eliminate the character - I had to go back and delete the entire deduction and re-enter it (very frustrating); 2. If you enter donated item data and then enter mileage data, and then come back and try to enter another donated item, the system will not let you do that. You must first eliminate the mileage entry, then enter the donated item data, and then re-enter the mileage data. In previous years you could enter individual trip mileages and associated costs associated with those trips. Lumping all of the mileages together simplifies somethings but it does away with specificity. (3) The categories of donated items are very limited - many things can be donated, such as garden related items, such as home grown produce, purchased topsoil, seeds, etc. (4) the entire program is inadequate when it comes to easily including items purchased by volunteers that are used in performing volunteer activities, i.e., seeds to grow garden produce for donation, printer cartridges and printer paper used to conduct volunteer related paperwork, etc. The only way these things can be currently is to put them in the donated category (of which the categories included in the program do not line up easily with the items (definitions of intangible property or tangible properties are never defined and or they just do not seem to meet what would be definitions that line up with so many things used by volunteers when they perform volunteer activities and which they pay for out of their own pockets. Rest of program is ok - the charitable deductions section really needs some reworking.

I am appalled at the cost of e-filing through Turbo Tax. Then, after I asked it to print my returns for the filing cabinet, it only printed the summary. 45 minutes later, I am still trying to print something that looks like a tax return. I will not be using turbo tax after this year.

Your program is broken in 2 ways. (1) There is no appropriate place to enter interest from non-Treasury state-tax-exempt Federal obligations. I did call and your expert said my only recourse was to override the entry on my state tax form. (2) Form 8949 should allow me to enter a small number (two, for me) of sales with appropriate basis (code K). But no, it requires me to mail them separately as a statement even if I only have 1 or 2 lines on form 8949. What a pain!! If I override them to enter the data appropriately, you won't let me e-File. I really want some or all of the cost of TurboTax back since I wasn't allowed to e-File, and why did I buy this if not in part to e-File?? Oh. (3) Also, the program does not prompt me to enter the IP PIN before filing. I had to hunt online to find where to enter it.

Needs more explanation about what other aspects of your return may be affected if you opt to do something. Also needs better navigation within the app for those of us that jump around a bit. You currently have to go through so many screens to get to where you are trying to go. That feels clunky and antiquated.

Since I knew I didn't have enough expenses to itemize, I skipped that section. When it came to listing Long Term Care and medical insurance under Business Expenses, there was no way I could do it. I finally realized that I had to enter them under itemized deductions first. This just created extra work on my part.

I think the product is not as useful as it has been in the past, early years. I strongly dislike the help function as it never leads me to anything useful. I hate that you try to lock in the sale of live help on many of the final pages. I hate that you charge to efile a state return. And you don't make it easy to print and file instead of efile for a charge by burying that option. The only reason I still use it is the ease of uploading prior year records into a new year tax return.

I had the pleasure of working with Javier F, one of your tax experts, and he was fantastic. He answered all of my questions and shared valuable tips that will help me save on taxes in future years. If Javier is representative of your team, I can only imagine how great the rest of your experts are. Truly five-star service at an affordable price!

Turbotax is more difficult to use every year...... I suspect this is intentional giving Intuit the opportunity to SELL advice to end users. In fact, Turbotax has become a giant sales promotion from opening to closing. I'm also highly suspicious of the online version and the "offer" of a free state Efile. The software axiom always holds true..... if your not paying for a service, you're (your information) become part of the service.

As I have for several years, I purchased my download of the Turbo Tax 2025 after having received and organized my tax documents and all foreseeably necessary documents. I downloaded the program, entered data, double checked, and submitted my taxes smoothly. The download was completely compatible with my desktop and OS. Working with the program was convenient and easy.
