Many items are not as intuitive as in past versions. Help topics are not intuitive at all. I cannot find within the desktop version where to file an extension. VERY FRUSTRATING COMPARED TO PRIOR YEARS. I dislike having to sign in within from the desktop version in order to search help topic.

I have confidence in the accuracy of The product. Compatibility suffers by requiring Windows 11 to run on the desktop. Invest in other versions for people who don't have or want or afford Windows 11. Features and reporting are smooth and confidence building in an accurate returns.

You need an comprehensive SEARCH feature that takes you to exactly where you need to go, not to a bunch of generic information that rarely is helpful. I called with a complex question, got a case number, called to talk to expert. Waited 20 minutes and call was dropped. Called again and waited 25 minutes and call was dropped again. Called a third time and gave up after 15 minutes. There needs to be a way for non-generic questions to be answered by a knowledgeable person (without paying $60). There is no way to report an apparent bug in the software. I was on a page with NO "CONTINUE" button or any way to get to the next page. Very frustrating. I was afraid of losing all the data I had entered.

I was prompted to use the online version of TT and found that the e-filing for my state return was going to be, I believe, $64. I reverted back to the desktop version, where I paid only $15 with my included $10 discount. Why was I directed to a much more expensive product?

I have used Turbo Tax for almost 2 decades. I've had issues in the past but this year was AWFUL! I reviewed the forms and the information was accurate. Tried to efile but couldn't because of errors with dependent worksheets. Tried several times to fix it but still couldn't efile. Deleted 2 dependents and re-entered information. Turbo Tax created Education worksheets WITH EXPENSES for my kids that didn't have expenses. Had to get help online. Apparently it's a big problem with the software. Took me 4 hours to efile. Ridiculous.

Consistent and reliable product; however, I don't like the fact that some screens "blow up" the magnification to appear huge compared to the general input screen. For example, the screen that let's me choose what to work on has normal size fonts/ magnification for pension, but when I select "edit" the pop up screens for pension have huge font/ magnification. This is very frustrating to deal with. Please fix this for the desktop software.

Logical flow of questions in "Walk-Me-Through" mode has become more obscure over the years. Will not permit e-filing if a flagged error exists— but it sometimes flags errors in calculated values, with no guidance on how to resolve the error. There is no "intelligence" to take the user to the actual user-entered input that resulted in the error. Even in "I'll Explore" mode, user is walked through questions that don't seem to be necessary.

This year is the first year that I have had any problems with TT. I wanted to buy Audit Defence and pay for a state efile. Done this for years. This year, though, when I wanted to pay by credit card, I couldn't. Drop down field for months would only go to 10.

Some parts were very detailed in explaining things with concrete examples. Those were very good! Other parts were very limited and we had to research a lot. Please keep providing more and more explanations on definitions of items and where to find them. AI trying to change my words as I type this review is BROKEN and it keeps changing to words that don't even exist and I have to retype. Do NOT PUT AI in this. It's already buggy and complex. Please don't make it worse. For Depreciation, you should recommend the type of depreciation scheme since you already ask for the date. For the K1s, please don't make use input multiple K1s in TurboTax for a single one we actually receive, because more than one box is selected for 1-3. You can program that to separate it. Having to manually separate makes this hard to read, because the entity is the SAME, and we cannot tell which is which without hitting "edit" (which is nerve-wracking). Please allow us to have TurboTax local file nicknames of certain items, like I have two 1099-INT from the same entity, but it looks the same unless I hit "edit". This makes it really difficult to check our work. Thanks for asking us for improvements!
