This year the Schwab downloading had glitches: Safari would not load "CONSENT " button at bottom of disclosure page ??? I switched to chrome , and it worked. then ..... even after it seemed (and actualy did ) it should have downlaoded, the turbotax dialog boxes showed that schwab still needed to be "EDITED" this was very confusing. indicating to me that maybe it had not downloaded. it has never done this in past years. Great product,, makes taxes almost acceptale.

I have used this for years, still a little confused on what may be required each time needs to be a little more in "English", a definition no IRS talk. Overall like using. Also, I use Quickbooks, but find that the catagories I put items in to on Intuit Quick Books are not the same as IRS forms and I have to combine items.

Started with the On-Line version this year. Did NOT like it. Almost done and I went back to doing it all over again with the desktop version. Something didn't make sense and found that I had 'imported' vanguard data that I already had entered. Have a big problem with needing a separate field to list what the IRS calculated RMD basis for each account SEPARATE from what I happened to withdraw to achieve the combination of my QCD and my RMD. Has to search for the QCD (it is only listed as Charity - not QCD) entry. No simple way to see total of all my accounts that require an RMD, and what my RMD & QCD were.

They keep changing the software and it keeps getting worse. Only supported Windows 11, but not offered for download via Microsoft store so laptop had to remove SAFE MODE to down load the SW. Can only download the SW, can no longer buy a CD/DVD. They eliminated It's Deductible making donations much harder as there is no way to enter multiple items at a time. When working offline not all the features work properly until you connect online (editing of stock sales and donation entries). On my state return, not all my data from last years turbo tax transferred and I had to retrieve it manually.

This year's system had a lot of changes to the way sections and questions were handled. Sometimes trying to make it easier just leaves out common sense. Some things seemed to make no sense at all until I was several sections farther along. All in all, your attempts at making it easier failed.

This was my first year using the live agent advice and the two ladies that helped me were AMAZING! I was getting frustrated but they knew exactly what the tool was asking and how I should enter my information. Thank you so much for this feature and the ability to call back several times!

Interface is clunky and not user friendly. Content writers assume the reader understands aspects too readily. Not being able to view the forms during data entry is a poor decision. Intentional, but not ethical. incomplete guidance. online help is weak.

I continue to use Turbo Tax because it makes my tax preparation seamless. I recommend it regularly to friends and family. One criticism I have is what feel like unnecessary fees. I appreciate that Turbo Tax cannot control the fact that my state (MA) charges $25 for me to e-File, but maybe that cost is something that should be covered with me getting my "free" state and paying $100+ for the software to begin with. Related to that, you encourage users like me to e-File, and I find it ironic that a couple of pages later I learn that I need to pay $40 to e-File. Seemed a bit shady.

the worst release of TurboTax ever! I have been using it for many years, but this year I had nothing but trouble. It seems that the release for windows 11 and all the new tax changes totally overwhelmed the programmers. Lots of little glitches, and a pain in the neck to use. Offering advice and charging $60 to do so is not the way to retain my business. Please get it together!

I had to call twice because of the lousy interface with my iOS platform MacBook Pro. The first time was because the tax return I worked on for more than 4 hours completely disappeared after your platform crashed on my TWICE! Fortunately, my MacBook Pro saved a copy. The recovery was so difficult your very pleasant tech had trouble helping me. Ultimately, between, her, me and ChatGPT we were able to obtain it and get it to load back into TurboTax, Your screen does not fully show on my computer making so that I could not hit the "next" or "continue" buttons. Also...it is VERY difficult to find what I needed to do an amendment for a previous year's taxes. Your Youtube video was NOT accurate resulting in my 2nd call to your support folk. The person I got the second time was LESS INFORMED than I was and also very crabby with me. This has truly been the WORST experience I have had working with TurboTax.
