Also surprised the software was not able to match foreign tax amounts with their associated funds and it made me do this myself looking through the 1099-DIV (what am I paying for?). Also unclear question on Form 1116 and online help was no help at all. Constant badgering to pay more for live assistance.

I have been using TurboTax for several years, and I have always been extremely satisfied. The program is very user-friendly and makes filing my taxes almost (note the almost) a pleasure. I can't believe the time and effort it used to take to file my taxes before TurboTax. It was a headache that lasted days. Now, even with two businesses to include and complicated investments, I can easily do my taxes in one day. And I know that TurboTax will highlight and find deductions that would have been hidden from me in the past

This year version of Turbo Tax is horrible, I have been using this software for years because of the convenience and it has saved me a lot of time when it comes to preparing my taxes. Not sure who idea it was to change the software. This year I was unable to import or upload Turbo Tax returns from prior years and my 2024 Turbo Tax was saved on my computer. I am really disappointed in the 2025 version. If I have to manually input my information I might as well shop around for a cheaper tax software.

Federal and State returns completed using Turbotax software.. Turbotax software used for over 20 years. This year could not efile because of error message IND 031 04. Have verified that information entered on current year return was correct and still was not accepted. I have spent at least 8 hours trying to resolve and I now give up and will mail. Your AI assistance is AWFUL. I will look for other tax software for 2026 returns

I have used Turbo Tax for years. It works fine. My only issue is that when I go back to a section I have to walk through all this steps in the beginning and end such as when I enter rental income and expenses. So this is annoying. Seems that Turbo tax programmers think that you a gong to get all the nubs right the first time. Which would be great in a perfect world. So if I were to suggest a change would be to allow a way to bypass that beyond clicking ot another subject then start the previous subject again. Reduce the clicks.

The program this year is horrible and we will not be using it again next year. There are far too many places where we should be able to remove old fields but despite it indicating "add, change or delete" we cannot do anything but add another entry of the same field.

I love the product overall and have used it for years. I used Home & Business for 2025. I do have two areas that i would love to see improved. 1. While in forms view, it would be great to be able to "drill down" on the figures by clicking on them and going to their source calculation. For example - It took me a while to find the source of an item on the Medical expenses worksheet. I had some consulting income (1099) and employee income (w-2) and $20k in Medical premiums (Medicare) and expenses. The item was on the Medical Expense Worksheet line 2.o. It took a while to figure out that it is the net result of schedule 7206. 2. Medicare Premiums/Medical Expenses while self-employed - get duplicated when added in the SSA-1099 section and Itemized in Schedule A and listed in Schedule C.

Accuracy guarantee - they were wrong on calculations due to bug in their software, and I had to amend because of them this year. Paid over $100 for software, had to spend hours getting the software to work again, and only got a $30 check for my troubles

Is it me, or is Turbotax getting more complicated and controlling? Didn't like the fact that the software added my residence state as a required default for my state return, which doesn't require residents to file a return. I file a non-resident return for another state, and I had to keep toggling from the window that says "see amount" to see the real status of my state return. That was irritating.

The TurboTax desktop version now has a very poor user interface. I have used TurboTax for 20 years, and its quality assurance has noticeably deteriorated. Fortunately, ChatGPT has been far more helpful in identifying errors than TurboTax's own support tools. The Help section is particularly bad.
