Lot of mistakes for a premium business product

There were sections, like our vehicle information, which ask for the same information that we had to fill out several times. You could save that information and have the repeating fields auto-fill. Also some forms that were imported from external companies still had to be filled out manually. You did not explain that an IRA to ROTH conversion is different (and tax beneficial) from a characterization. You did not explain that rental property should be a schedule E and not a schedule C.

Certainly much preferable to manual completion.

Navigating was a bit cumbersome when searching for supporting detail elements of tax form amounts. Called and texted support (each once) and found the information provided contradicted actual tax return processes. Turbo Tax check on whether a late payment penalty was due was later contradicted in the final check/validation process; the initially determined penalty amount was later eliminated prior to0 filing.

TurboTax Falls Short in 2025

It took too long to get the business components up and running. They weren't available until Jan 2026. As a result I had to figure out the business net income implications for i401K contribution limits on my own before 12/31/2025. Bottom line is I didn't fully benefit from paying for a business version of the software. Even place holders for business income and business expenses would have been better than not.

Disappointing

Asks user to manually fill out information from a 2024 return done on TurboTax and provided to Turbotax 2025 while Intuit claims there is more risk of errors with manual entries. It does this with quite a few items in Federal and a lot of in California return. Also at lot of places it does not provide guidance and refers user to IRS publication!!! Help section sucks and has gotten worse than in past!

TT Home & Business Health Insurance Issues..

A TT user for many years - Home & Business. Normally straightforward until I realized on 2025 that the health insurance premiums were getting doubled because of TT's requirement that they be input in both of our 2 separate home business. Please fix the issues!!

Long time user of Turbo Tax.

I have use Turbo Tax for more than 20 years. I'm comfortable with it. I work in the tax profession so it is easy for me to use. I had problems with the download this time. I wasn't downloading all the information. I thought I was going to have to call for help. The program is pretty pushy about purchasing your tax advise. It almost was a turn off. It holds you hostage from moving to the next page. I'd prefer to receive the CD. I need something tangible.

New changes are terrible.

Recent changes are too complicated when entering interest and dividends from different accounts from the same institution. Cannot tell which account until after you commit to entering interest, dividends or stocks/bonds. Then you are locked into that action even if that account doesn't have that type of income. I've had to delete the account and then re-enter it. I'm thinking of changing to different software in the future. I volunteer to do taxes for the elderly and the other sofwares are much easier.

Online Version is a trap

Turbo tax desktop kept prompting me to switch to online. I did so and determined that it couldn't handle my complex tax situation. I had to be on the phone for 6 hours to finally get switched back and filed without getting charged a second time. Customer service was a nightmare, nobody knew how to help me until I finally spoke to my 7th representitive who actually could help.

2025 version not as user friendly

The changes to entering dividends, etc is very confusing. I spent more time deleting duplicated forms, etc than it took to actually complete the return. We also have to click NEXT too many times. Please include 2 or 3 questions on a page before we have to click NEXT

TurboTax is Expensive!

While I like TurboTax for the most part, the fees are getting ridiculous. For instance, Illinois does not charge for e-filing, but TurboTax charges $25. Forget the "free" state download. I also thought the $40 fee to take the $25 state e-filing fee out of the tax refund was outrageous. I already paid over $80 for the program (when taxes are included).
